The final toy
This is the last toy I'm making for this year. I'm not overly thrilled with it, but I guess it looks a little like a cat if you REALLY use your imagination.
Today's quote... (disclaimer: This is not my artwork, nor is it my poem...sadly!)
I LOVE the poem and the drawing! Is this your work? I love it and it rings so true with me. Your cat is cute. I want to make a monster for my adult son-but I think I will make it from a thrift store sweater.
Alas, no - I can't draw and I can't write poetry either (well, I have been known to but only under great duress). Thrift store sweaters would make great monsters!
Are you sure it's the final toy? Really sure? The final toy?? I will not be surprised if another toy pattern beckons to you - you clearly enjoy making them :)
Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.

I doubt if the future little owner of the toy will worry about how cat like it is! It's lovely.
ReplyDeleteHopefully she will like it when she gets a little older.
DeleteI would just say it is a female Pikachu. Looks good to me.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Now I never thought of that!! Should have made her yellow then....lol.
DeleteYou have to love that chicken !! So funny...Your cat just probably ate too much Turkey on thanksgiving!! =:)))
ReplyDeleteHugs, Julierose
Yes, she definitely had too much turkey AND the trimmings too! To say nothing about the pumpkin pie...
DeleteThink the cat is adorable!
ReplyDeleteawww, thank you. Hopefully the recipient will think so too.
DeleteThe cat sure looks soft and cuddly.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely mushy - very cuddleable I think.

ReplyDeleteOh there will be more toys, but NOT for Christmas. There's two grandie birthdays coming up in January though so there might be more then.
DeleteFat cats are always cute. Especially yarny cuddly ones. :)
ReplyDeleteHopefully our grandie will think it's cuddly!
DeleteI like your poem, and sweet artwork, Mary Anne.
ReplyDeleteI wish the poem and artwork were mine, but not the case.
DeleteAnother cute finish Mary Anne. Love your poem today. Hugs Christine xx
ReplyDeleteI liked that poem too - one of the many that seem to catch my fancy!
DeleteSherry of createology: Very cute Cuddle Pillow. Nice poem. Grey day here after a night of some rain.
ReplyDeleteIt's been rainy here too (better than that awful white stuff though).
DeleteOh boy, he is a plump little kitty! He's a cutie and he does remind me of Pikachu.
ReplyDeleteYes, in hindsight I wish I had made her/him yellow!
