A finish!

Some of you might remember me showing you THIS link to a crocheted vest that I rather liked and that Resident Chef insisted I order the yarn.  This is the result...

Made with Jeans yarn from Lion Brand

- Sharon Boggon has announced what looks to be a really fun stitch-a-long for next year.  You can find out more HERE.

- HERE are a few quick gifts to make. And HERE. Or how about HERE.

- I wouldn't mind taste-testing a few of THESE!  They'd make a great gift accompanied by a selection of crackers.  Hmmm....and followed by some of THIS!!!

- There are links to lots of quick gift ideas HERE.  And there's more HERE.

.....have you had enough yet??.....

- More ideas HERE

- THIS would make a pretty gift.  As would THIS.

- If you're giving money this year, how about packaging it in a fun way like the ideas HERE. Or HERE.  AND HERE

- Some of THIS would make a nice gift, especially if it was packaged with some of THIS.

The quote is from Oren Arnold..."Christmas gift suggestions:  To your enemy, forgiveness.  To an opponent, tolerance.  To a friend, your heart.  To a customer, service.  To all, charity.  To every child, a good example.  To yourself, respect"

  2. First I couldn't seem to post a comment, then I've been here two sessions caught up reading your wonderful posts. Hope this comment works...it's my old Acer I think unlike you with the keyboard. Anyway, I've been following your links and finding so many goodies. Thank RC for his soup recipe too. So much to inspire in your quotes too. Thanks for it all.

  3. Very Nice!
I love that pattern. Thank you for the link. The arm openings are cozy warm, and the pockets are lovely.

    1. I didn't put the pockets on mine, mainly because I know I'd stuff them full of 'whatever' and end up pulling the vest all out of shape. It's a fun pattern to make.

    2. I just noticed you left the pockets out. I understand about stuffing pockets. Can't find my phone, I tap on the clothes in the laundry basket.

    3. I don't use my cell phone so don't carry it around like a lot of people do. I'd be more apt to stuff the pockets with things I pick up off the floor

  4. Your vest looks very pretty in that color and I bet it will be a cozy addition to your wardrobe this winter. Thanks for all those links. I just might have to send my elf to the store for some ingredients for one of those bark recipes. And I am definitely saving that quote. Have a wonderful week!

    1. I wear jeans most of the time so the denim-y colour will go with most things I own. We've made all we plan to for this year but the bark recipes are going in my 'pondering file' for next year.

  5. Your vest is lovely, Mary Anne! Goodness, you whipped it up quickly. A photo, perhaps, of you wearing your new pretty?? =) So many great links. The stitch-a-long is a beauty. Such a lot of pretty 'crazy' embroidery.

    1. I'm pretty fast when I'm crocheting - knitting, not so much. I might see if Resident Chef is willing to take a photo but don't count on it!

  9. What a beautiful crocheted vest. Disappointed not to see it being modelled though!!! I am very tempted by the Sharon Boggon BOM but not sure I will have the time. Merry Christmas Mary Anne! Have a wonderful time and may 2023 bring you peace and joy. Hugs Christine xx

    1. I am definitely not a model!! We'll see though - perhaps Resident Chef will do the honours at some point (but don't count on it!).
Happy Christmas wishes to you and yours too Christine - may it, and the new year to come, be filled with good things.
