The seams on block four are pretty much complete and I'm starting on the 'filler' areas...
For this seam I used one of Sharon Boggon's plastic templates to draw the half circles onto my fabric (you could also use a button). Then I used buttonhole to work the circles (black); straight stitches (pink); lazy daisies & straight stitches (green); and French knots (blue).
This is a simple cross stitched heart I used as one of the fillers. Sorry that I can't share the pattern because it isn't my original design.
Today's dose of mumblings...
- HERE's a great idea for a scissors holder - great for gifting!
- THIS is such a brilliant idea!! So handy to laminate and carry with you so you have an easy stitch reference. (If you scroll down you will also see the link to further pages in her series). Love it!!
- If you're searching for embroidery stitches that are reminiscent of braiding, have a look at Mary Corbet's post HERE.
