Done!!

 'The Witch House'
(near Dollard, Saskatchewan)
measures approx. 27x29"
FOR SALE!   SOLD!!
based primarily on this photo by
Dale Stewart (and used with his kind permission)
as well as photos by Michael Trueman and Glen Bowe

- I rather wish I could sit in a corner and take notes when THIS artist is creating!  Be sure to check out her eco-prints HERE as well.

- THESE are cute and would be easy to make...perhaps attach them to a 'pick' and plant them in your flower pots?

- THIS artist takes pintucks to a whole 'nother level!

- Although  THIS was originally geared towards Christmas, I don't see why it wouldn't be pretty hanging in a window any time of the year. OR maybe THIS take on it would be fun too.

Today the quote is from Teresa Funke...."Putting our art out there is one of the biggest risks we can take.  It's a special kind of vulnerability.  It takes guts to be an artist"

  1. Oh, it's *enchanting*! I like the way the frame darkens at the bottom. Adds to the verisimilitude. Bravo!

    1. Thank you Nann!!! Actually, the darker-look to the frame at the bottom is a trick of the lighting....it's actually the same fabric as the rest of the frame. Thank you for thinking I was smart though!!

  2. It is really "bewitching", too; love all the special additions you made to this along with the frame--beautiful work...;))

    1. Yes, there are spots where you can see through it...guess it makes a good habitat for birds!

    1. Thanks Jackie - the house earned the name of the Witch House due to the roofline, at least according to local folklore.

  7. Awesome work done! Congratulations! The spiral ornaments would be nice outside to let the winds turn them? I crochet one a couple of years ago.

Sherry of createology: Your landscapes are amazing. The “simplicity” of this Witch’s House is stunning. So many creative links. This quote is so true. Vulnerability is very scary. I have had four watercolors hanging in a local art gallery for three months and today is the day to pick them up. I never sold one ar even heard what anyone thought of them. Feedback and constructive criticism is so important…especially when I am so new to this medium. Creative Bliss Dear.

    1. oooh - congratulations on having your watercolours in a gallery! That's exciting, even though you didn't sell any. I very rarely sell a landscape but that's not stopping me from making them.

  9. I rather wish I could sit in the corner of the room you are in and take notes as you work on your many landscapes, Mary Anne. Another superb finish! This house is wonderful, of course, and the sky too, but it's the surrounding landscape this time where you've excelled. That's where the magic is for me. Just stunning! Oh.....now if I were to sit in the corner, I'm hoping Resident Chef might throw a tasty morsel or two, my way??
