Well, my experiment of combining a Kawandi and a landscape is done...and I'm happy with it....

- THIS would be fun to make (and fun to eat!)
- Have a peek at the interesting creations of THIS artist.
- And THIS one too!!
- I think THESE might take a little patience to make, but they sure are pretty (and the raw materials are plentiful right now)
This quote is from Desmond Tutu..."My father used to say, "Don't raise your voice. Improve your argument"
Your landscape turned out beautifully;))) Inspired to just stitch around the truck so that it stands out in relief--nice work!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Julierose
Thank you Julierose! I enjoyed all the hand work on this one...slow stitching at its best.
DeleteOh, that's a great combination!
ReplyDeleteI satisfied my curiosity on this one. I'd wanted to try Kawandi and couldn't resist seeing if I could combine it with a landscape.
DeleteThe Kawandi landscape turned out wonderfully! and thanks for the interesting links
ReplyDeleteThanks Nann - and glad you enjoyed the links.
DeleteI like this latest best of all your landscapes to date. I hope you take this concept further.
ReplyDeleteNot sure I will be doing too much more in the way of Kawandi but the jury is out. I am woman - apt to change my mind!
DeleteWonderfully done! Kudos to you for thinking outside of the box and combining those techniques.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lorraine! It was a fun experiment, for sure.
DeleteIt's fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Vicki! It was a fun project.
DeleteSherry of createology: Wow! This Kawandi landscape has turned out stunning. Time patience and lots of sewing along with your artistic eyes to see the process and final results is remarkable! Great Quote!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherry. I've seen a lot of people trying kawandi on the internet so I thought I'd join in the fun. Nice to have a piece of hand stitching to work on during the hot days.
DeleteVery nice work. Lots of people are trying kawandi I see on various blogs I peruse.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I'm seeing it in a lot of places too and it caught my eye enough that I thought I'd give it a try.
DeleteI love this design, congratulations on the finish, it is beautiful, I love the M& M bag link, I must try making one.
ReplyDeleteCatherine
Thank you Catherine! If you make the bag I hope you post pictures.
DeleteYour combination of kawandi and landscape is a great finish. I love the entire piece!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I rather like it myself.
DeleteIlike the rhythm of the quilting. It feels solid.
ReplyDeleteYes! There IS a rhythm to this type of stitching, for sure.
DeleteThat turned out very cool, Mary Anne. Before embiggening it, it looks kind of "pixelated". Well done!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy with it. I didn't think of it being somewhat pixelated but you're right I think.
