I hates-zzzzzz it

Yes, I am not a happy camper with the current landscape.  For some reason the yellow church is giving me fits and not being in the least bit cooperative.  All buildings need a fresh paint job now and then and this one is getting it, like it or not.

In the meantime, on another front, some of those blocks I showed you earlier are being put together...

- if you happen to have any old windows kicking around, perhaps one of THESE ideas would help

- HERE is another fun project you might want to try over the summer

- And how about trying THIS technique?

- Or THIS one?

Here is your quote for today..."Everyone has two eyes, but no one has the same view"

  1. Good reminder about making/recycling paper, since it's so hot, today's great for pulping in the sun. Thanks!

  2. I know how you feel--i am not happy with Pavement blocks at all--for some reason they don't "speak to me"!! But i am going to finish it anyway and perhaps have it on hand for a gift as a lot of my followers have mentioned how they like it!!
(Te gustibus non erat disputandum"--right? no accounting for taste hahaha--I need a tee shirt like that!)

    1. Good thing not everyone likes the same thing or life would be pretty boring. I neglected to take a picture of the offending building (oops) so I can't show the before and after.

  3. I take my hat off to those creatives recycling their newspapers in this way, a hand made gift card is always such a pleasure to receive and cherish, but I'd be tempted to write on the back do you know what I did to make this!! Incredible uses for old windows too! As always I love your ideas and lovely to stop by and see what you're up to!

    1. Hi Wren! Nice to hear from you! And yes, I'm often tempted to write all sorts of information on the back, especially when somebody tells me I'm charging too much. Would like to see THEM work for pennies an hour!!

Sherry of createology: My Dear MA you know exactly what you like and you will be able to make the churches look just right for your landscape. The crocheted fabric squares look lovely. I have made paper before and it was fun but messy. Yes with two eyes we all do not see the same. My Grandma taught me to look at things with different eyes…she was extremely creative and clever.

    1. Yes, I generally know what I like but often it's a trial to get to that point.

  5. The 2 different fabrics to make 2 different sides for your throw is a great idea.

    1. It ends up being reversible which is always a plus.

  6. Very nice, that will make a cozy blanket.
Handmade paper is something I have always wanted to try. I get as far as saving lots of junk mail that I eventually throw away. Maybe this summer will include a ship watercolor, a shawl and handmade paper. What nice gifts that would make.

The quote makes me laugh when I think about how not everyone agrees with my point of view. lol

    1. I've never made handmade paper either and have often had the best of intentions to try it. Paper isn't really my 'thing' though, so I suspect I'll be sticking to fabric.

    1. I've enjoyed working on this - they're colours I like so hopefully the recipient will feel the same.
