A return

I have come to the realization that I'd best get my motor revved up if I'm going to stand a chance of completing the projects I have on my list for adding to the Christmas box.  The great mystery project ground to a halt whilst I await a yarn shipment so I hauled out the set-aside cross stitched ornaments.  I'm currently working on one of the Nutcrackers and still have a second one of those plus another chef to stitch before I start putting them together.

- For those of you who are heading into fall perhaps one of the projects found HERE might catch your eye.

- Have a look at THIS design too.

- I love THIS idea for upcycling old paint cans!  You'll have to scroll down to find the tutorial.

- THIS is one of those wow, just wow, things!

Today's quote is a Native  proverb..."Everything on Earth is borrowed.  There is no "Mine" or "Yours", there is only "Ours".  Even time is borrowed.  We kill over a plot of land that belongs only to our Mother Earth.  All you have is what you came with...and what you will leave with....your Spirit"

    1. You will - don't worry! The extra yarn has arrived and I'm hard at work.

Sherry of createology: As quickly as summer is leaving us I can see how you want to complete your Christmas gifts. Right now we are having an August Monsoon. Just a very few minutes of rain and thunder and lightning. If only it would rain longer. Interesting quote and I think I better improve my spirit.

    1. I'm sadly behind in filling the Christmas box this year so I have to get my rear in gear for sure. Normally I have been making things since the end of January but for some reason this year I got derailed.

  3. I love your cross-stitched ornaments. Back in the day when I did a lot of cross-stitching, I worked several Santa Claus pieces which were so fun. I also want to know more about the Great Mystery Project.

    1. I find cross stitching to be soothing for the most part. I'm just hugely glad that now I can see to do it!

    1. Yes, I thought that dress is incredible, but even more interesting was the fact that it was a collaboration.
