They're multiplying!

It seems like one hat from that pattern has turned into three - two for adults and one for our baby grandie.  I left the ear flaps off the adult versions and I didn't include the ties on the baby one, simply because I don't feel that they're particularly safe.

Today the quote is from Zig Ziglar..."Life is an echo.  What you send out, comes back.  What you sow, you reap.  What you give, you get.  What you see in others, exists in you.  Remember, life is an echo.  It always gets back to you.  So give goodness"

    1. The pastel version is baby-sized and the other two are adult versions of the same pattern. And yes, I guess I've been on a hat kick lately (stay tuned!)

  2. They are beautiful. Good to know flaps can be left off the adult size. I agree with leaving off the ties in the baby size.

    1. Yes I like the adult version much better without the flaps and I actually toyed with not putting them on the baby one but finally decided that if I was going without the ties perhaps the flaps would help keep her ears warm

  3. Ah, what goes around comes around! So where are the people knitting hats for you, hm?

    1. I hate wearing hats so I wouldn't use one even if I had it. I made myself a toque several years ago just in case it was cold enough to warrant it and I STILL go out without it.

  4. It's amazing what comes off those hooks of yours. I love the hats!

  5. Your hats are sweet. I agree about strings. I've heard of too many school children getting book bag, coat and hat strings caught on bus and getting drug off. Always a part of our bus safety preaching was NO strings.
I'm always looking for fabric collage ideas and techniques. Thanks!

    1. The strings in this case would be on the baby hat and I'm sure would be helpful to keep the hat on, but there's too much chance for an accident so I'm not going there.

  6. Love that baby hat - such pretty yarn and a very good idea to leave the ties off. I like that quote too... it's so true that we get back what we give and thinking of it in terms of an echo is beautiful and also thoughtful.

    1. Thanks Jillayne - I think the hat turned out pretty cute too. If they don't want to use the ear flaps they can be tucked up inside.

    1. I'm a relatively fast crocheter so I can make projects pretty quickly. Knitting, not so much.

    1. I think this year it won't be just one box I'll have to fill. Funny how the grandies insist on growing!

  9. Lovely hats - every one. And that is a pretty bag. I have imaginings of someday making a zippered bag. Adding this one to my list of "might tries".

    1. At least hats don't take too long to make so they're good additions for the Christmas box.
