I just finished knitting two more hats for the Christmas box...
Pattern is the same as the one I showed you the other day. There might be a couple more of these done before Christmas but now I'm switching gears to socks because I have a commission for four pairs that the buyer wants for Christmas. Those should take me awhile to do.
- I suspect THESE are AI-generated but aren't they spectacular? (scroll down to see what I mean)
- THIS is a different take on the log cabin design.
- I thought THIS was really pretty. If I had nice curtains that would lend themselves to it, I'd be making some.
- Maybe one day I might make one of THESE.
Today's quote is from Elie Wiesel...."We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim"
Your Christmas Box must be getting pretty full!! Lovely chapeaux!! Hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteThe Box is actually part of a cupboard and it's nowhere near full yet. That's because the things I've been making are all small items so I can stuff lots more in there.
Deleteand silence is complicity...
ReplyDeletethe hats are, as always, awesome!
Indeed it is.
DeleteGlad you like the hats!
I've never made a stitch sampler book -- always wanted to incorporate the stitch into a current work, despite several tries. Your Chrissy hats are great as always.
ReplyDeleteI made a sampler book for the stitches on my sewing machine but have never done one for hand stitches.
DeleteI really love those hats. You are getting lots of Christmas things ready and in the Christmas box/cupboard.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I like the hats too and might make some more before I'm done. Just wish I liked colorwork with all the necessary untangling a bit more.
DeleteLove the hats MA: thank-you for the links.
ReplyDeleteCatherine
Thank you - and you're welcome!
DeleteLove those knitted maple leafs and how great to have a commission to knit socks. That quote is so meaningful in these times isn't it.
ReplyDeleteWe need to show our Canadian patriotism so I figured these hats would be a great way to do that. As for the socks - it will likely take me months to do four pairs because I'm a very slow sock knitter.
DeleteSherryofcreateology: You my friend are really making headway with your Christmas gifts, Lovely hats. You always share interesting and varied links that I enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherry - there's a long way to go with all I have planned to add to the Christmas box. Glad you enjoy the links because I have fun searching them out.
DeleteI do have drapes that would benefit from those pretty tie-backs! But my "Necessities" list is long...
ReplyDeleteYes, the necessities need to come first.
DeleteDid you look at the projects on Ravelry using that pattern? So much variation - really charming!
DeleteI didn't see that particular pattern on Ravelry so will have to check further. I did, however, find a really nice mitten pattern that I might have to add to my library for future reference.
DeleteYou make me jealous getting so much Christmas things done already.
ReplyDeleteI know myself well enough to know that I need to work on Christmas gifts all year long or I'll end up beyond stressed when the time arrives.
DeleteTwo more lovely hats! There are going to be some warm heads come winter!
ReplyDeleteThese are going to our adult kids so I hope they will keep them warm.
