Progress, on more than one front

The hydro crews are working miracles in their efforts to get power restored to so many areas.  God bless the crews that came from other provinces and areas to help out.  We're now hearing the sounds of wood chippers and chainsaws which are another sign of progress.

At home, I've managed to finish the latest landscape which was based on this photo by Dale Stewart and used with his always kind permission...

Introducing "Foggy Morning"
measures approx. 29x25" (click on picture to embiggen)...

FOR SALE!

And....whatever do you suppose this might turn into??

- Most of THESE are 'awww-ism's'  (scroll down)

- There are some good tips HERE for cleaning your sewing machine.

- I rather like some of THESE and they don't look hard to make.  Dusting them, however, would be another matter!

- Oh! - THIS is such an awwwww-thing!!

Today the quote is from Stacie Martin..."We should be lifting each other up and cheering each other on, not trying to outshine one another.  The sky would be awfully dark with just one star"

  1. The neutrals look like the start for a cobblestone-sort-of background. Glad your power is back!

  2. It's heartening to hear the sounds of recovery after a storm. I hope that's the last of it for now.

    1. Thank you Julierose! And yes we're certainly hoping for much calmer weather. Supposed to be getting more snow later today and tomorrow. Winter just doesn't want to leave!

Sherryofcreateology: Your landscape is fantastic. I love the foggy look of the barn and all of your embroidered flowers. I see the Yellow Brick Road on the way to the Great Wizard of OZ! Fun links. Great quote. Happy week dear1

    1. I hope I managed to give the effect of fog...it was a 'try it and see' experiment.

    1. Your fog pieces gave me the idea to try to use it somehow and I'm happy with the end result. Thanks for the inspiration!

  9. Nice job on the fog...I wondered how you would manage that! It's snowing here again today, but the kind of snow that invites a camera, not a shovel. I may be able to prep my small raised beds tomorrow!

    1. I wondered how I'd manage it too! Woke up to more snow this morning but it's not the kind that will last (hopefully).
