I'm at the stage of spinning my wheels whilst I consider what I will attempt to do next. I need to spend some time perusing photos to see what inspires. My knitting is definitely yawn-worthy because it's yet another pair of socks. I did, however, spend far too much time drooling my way through several different online shops searching out some fabric enhancements which will be turned into fodder for the Christmas box and lit a small flame underneath my credit card. I know I swore I didn't want to buy anything unless I absolutely have to and I should have tried harder to make do from my stash but in the case of what I want to make I need yardage and my stash doesn't have much and what I do have isn't a suitable weight.
- For those of you who thought I was a tad out to lunch for using teabags, go and have a look at the amazing creations of THIS artist! (thank you Sherry for the head's up on this one)
- Sometimes it's the simple things that can give joy as THIS will attest.
- I know THIS is supposed to be an Easter project but there's no reason it couldn't be for anytime throughout the year.
- I like THESE!
- HERE is another idea that might come in handy!
Today's quote..."Just be a good person. Love who you can, help where you can, give what you can"
I like today's quotation! It sounds like a modest suggestion but it's radical.
ReplyDeleteI try to live by that. I don't always succeed but at least I try.
DeleteThe ironing board and door hangings are lovely! The tassels on my door knobs are over ten years old. The button flowers will be cheery and a good addition to gift baskets as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you
May
You're most welcome May! Glad you found something of interest.
DeleteOhhh, I like the flowers.... Perhaps I will search through scraps and the button jars to find some items to use up in this manner.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I like them too and might just make one for my sewing room door.
DeleteI'm approaching the toe decreases on the second in a pair of socks, and wondering whether to immediately cast on a fourth pair. There are a lot of demands on my arthritic hands at the moment; cashmere combing is underway, which usually means a moratorium on knitting. But it's so helpful to my peace of mind to have a WIP on the needles, to be picked up for even a few minutes.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly how I knit too - there's pretty much always a pair of socks on the go and even doing a few rows seems to satisfy my knitting urge. Often I switch it up and do another knitting projects (hats, most recently) but socks are a given. Look after your hands!
DeleteCan we get away with calling this creative stooper "Spring Sickness"? It's happening here too.
ReplyDeleteSpring Sickness sounds like a great term!
DeleteSherryofcreateology: Great links again dear. I also try to be a good person and live the best life I can doing for others.
ReplyDeleteI try to do the same Sherry. That's why I make so many of my gifts.+
