This one involved all sorts of new-to-me techniques - using tea bags; printing my own fabric using lace as the resist; dyeing cheesecloth and stitching with it (I've actually done that before); using washaway stabilizer to help create the dimensional grasses; and several other things I did that were different.
- I found THIS to be quite interesting. I don't felt my projects but seeing this means I might just attempt it!
- You might find THIS a fun thing to try.
- I thought THIS was an awwww-thing.
- I found THIS article of interest, even though I'm not an actual quilter.
Today your quote is from Galileo Galilei...."I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forego their use"
Teabags and Rust is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jocelyn! I think it's one of my favourites (so far).
DeleteThe teabags are such an interesting addition to this great portrait.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least I got the urge to use teabags out of my system for now!
DeleteSherryofcreateology: Good Morning MA. Your landscape is wonderful. Your use of tea bags is amazing. This past weekend we had our annual St. George Art Festival and I met a lady who does beautiful Tea Bag Art. OrphanGirlFineArt.com and her name is Erin M. Linton. I was entranced. I hope you enjoy viewing her art. Our weather is lovely today. I hope yours is too.
ReplyDeleteOh my - thank you Sherry! I loved seeing her art and feeling validated for using teabags myself...wish I could see it for real! I will link to her work in my next post.
