I put the finishing touches on the first of four pairs of socks I have an order for (luckily they aren't needed until Christmas). Same pattern I always use and Paton's Kroy sock yarn...
The hand stitching has begun on the rusty project. I'm slow stitching circles to quilt it. Still not sure what I will be doing for the sky but will mull on that whilst I stitch circles.
- For some reason I thought I should share THIS. Who knew there were so many uses for old keyboards?!
- There are some interesting ideas HERE.
- Making a kaleidoscope of THESE would be fun (and yes, I consulted Mr. Google to see what a group of them would be called).
- Although I haven't personally tried making THIS, I thought I'd share in case any of you would like to make it.

There was no-one who didn't know then, either. I lived through that period as a small child, early reader of newspapers, observer of newcomers in our neighborhood, and I bloody knew.

DeleteSherryofcreateology: Hand sewing your circles on the rusted fabric will look fabulous. If your needle gets tired run it through your hair and it should glide more easily through the fabric. I like the word Kaleidoscope for a group of Butterflies. Happy Stitching…

DeleteOur oldest son has fought against fascism since he was young, and been threatened with death or job loss by them, I have even got messages that people can hardly wait until he has a bullet in his head. He told me he will never be silent and will always fight against Neo- Nazi groups.

Is the rusty fabric tougher to hand stitch on?
ReplyDeleteNot really - the only place where I'm finding it harder is when I'm stitching through seams where there are several layers.
