This is the prototype for the intermediate workshop I've been asked to teach...
Similar to the first one I did but simplified somewhat.
- THIS might be a handy thing to have for yourself or make for a gift.
- One can but drool over THIS!
- Have a peek through the gallery of THIS artist.
- Some of you might enjoy doing some exploration through THIS.
Today's quote..."Tolerance will reach such a level that intelligent people will be banned from thinking so as not to offend the imbeciles"
That storage center makes my teeny plastic storage piece look humble.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have the space for something like that! At the moment I'm trying to reconfigure my sewing room so I can have a better, more accessible, system for my landscape fabric stash and I'm on a quest to find a cheap chest of drawers with enough drawers that fits in the confines of what space I have. Might be a lost cause.
DeleteCongratulations on the class, I am sure it will be enjoyed by all who take the class. This si such a lovely design, simple but beautifully serene.

Thanks - I think one of the guilds is wanting to do the class, but don't know about any others as yet. At least they can see the sample and decide over the summer what they want to do.
DeleteSherry of createology: Marry Anne Dear this prototype looks quite doable with you teaching the class. Oh the possibilities of the links you have shared. I love the cabinet but have NO space for it. What glorious textiles the artist creates. I am saddened by this quote as it is already happening in the America I live in.
ReplyDeleteI, too, love the cabinet but have no room for it. I can dream though!
DeleteAt first thought the prototype looked easy until I studied the details of the windmill and the shadows on the fence posts. Hmmm,
ReplyDeleteIn regard to your comment about journals on my post, did you know there is a quick way to back up your blog? I left a reply, but can email if like. About 4 easy steps.
It's not that difficult if it's broken down into steps!
DeleteAs for backing up my blog, I will go and check your post and see if I can figure it out. It's one of those things I know I should do but never do and I know one of these days I'm going to regret it big time.
Wow--that is quite the teaching tool you've set up there; it looks like your students will come away with a lot of know how....
ReplyDeletehugs, Julierose
Hopefully they'll have fun with it and it shouldn't cost them too much for raw materials.
DeleteThat will be a fun class! I wish I loved nearby.
ReplyDeleteI wish you did too - if only so we could meet in person!
DeleteIt's going to be great class. I see quite a number of lessons there. Lucky are the ones who'll be attending!
ReplyDeleteI know the night quilt guild is interested in it and possibly the day guild as well. Will have to wait and see what the response will be.
DeleteThe windmill landscape is lovely. I'd enjoy taking a class with you! I looked at the sewing machine table and I wonder how someone sitting at it would avoid banging their ankles. (I use a Tracy's Table which is kneehole style.)
ReplyDeleteI took a second look at that table and you're right. I've sometimes wondered about seeing if my sewing machine could be installed into the old treadle case/table I have but then I look at my space in my sewing room and realize that it wouldn't work.
DeleteThat looks to be a very enjoyable class. I don't think you can go wrong with denim.
ReplyDeleteDenim is usually pretty cheap as a raw material to work with but I must admit I was shocked at the price of second hand jeans at the thrift store we went to earlier in the week. I think the price has practically doubled since we were there last.
