Done!

I finished the latest landscape but haven't come up with an appropriate title for it yet.  It measures approx. 24x22" and features lots of embroidery, fussy cut and painted leaves, applique and machine quilting.  Once more, Dale Stewart granted permission and provided the inspiration with one of his photos.

    1. Thank you Julierose - I'm happy with it, although it still remains nameless.

  2. Dandelions are a great salad. I love an early leaf with lettuce, before they get bitter. And they're great for pollinators. It's not good management to try to eradicate them. I have spoke!

    1. And you spoke well! I'm in full agreement. I must admit I've never eaten them but I'm thinking about trying to make one of the creams or lip balms (provided I remember when the dandelions are actually in bloom!).

    2. Another beautiful landscape finish, Mary Anne. I am always amazed how true to the photo elements in your landscape are. LOVE the rusty old truck! Thank you for the link to cause me to wander through the gallery of those award winning quilts. Each and every one is mind boggling.

    1. I have a hard time quitting when I'm adding the flowers - hard to know when I've reached a good stopping point.

Sherry of createology: I wish I had dandelions but somehow they are not in the high desert. Your latest landscape with the rusty old truck is wonderful. All of your embroidery really brings it to life. I like today’s quote.

    1. I think dandelions are beautiful flowers but not everyone is on board with that. Thanks!

  5. Love the finished landscape. We went by an old falling down barn and I almost took a picture of it. So many old vehicles and barns or homes here on the prairies.

    God bless.

    1. The prairies are wonderful for finding old buildings and vehicles - many (if not most) of the photos I work from come from there.

    1. Me too! Took me too many hours to count to make all those maple leaves but the end result was worth it.

    1. The flowers are always a favourite thing to do although some of my landscapes don't seem to want them.
