I've been working away on the latest landscape and have a little progress I can show you...
- There are some interesting ideas HERE.
- I think THIS would look great on an outdoor chair in the summertime.
- THIS looks a little different than most.
- THIS one too.
- There are tons of links HERE to some yummy-looking muffin recipes.
Today the quote is from Maya Angelou..."Hate. It has caused a lot of problems in this world, but it has not solved one yet"
This landscape is different, more painterly. I like it a lot.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's definitely different. I wanted to try a b&w (ish) landscape and this one seemed to suit that plan. In this photo part of it looks blue but in real life it's definitely grey.
DeleteThe broken-wheel landscape is really coming along so well...I agree it looks "painterly";)))
ReplyDeleteNice work... very cold here only 20 degrees this morning--unusual for this shoreline area...brrr hugs, Julierose
I've had people comment on my landscapes that they think they look like paintings, at least from a distance.
DeleteI am liking the colourways of this one.
ReplyDeleteI've wante to try a black and white landscape for awhile so I guess now is the time.
DeleteVery nice. I am really liking how this landscape is shaping up.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thanks Jackie - it's been a fun one to work on.
DeleteVery nice progress
ReplyDeleteThat flower pillow is cute. I can see a sofa full of them like a bouquet.
I thought it was cute as well - an outdoor sofa would be perfect.
DeleteOh my goodness, Mary Anne. All that stitching has turned those fabrics into a veritable winter wonderland. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Becki. I rather wondered how it would come together but so far I'm happy with it. Wrestling with how to add the next step now....it's a puzzlement.
Deleteooh you are making lots of progress! xx
ReplyDeleteIt's coming along....ready to put the finishing touches on it, hopefully today.
DeleteSherry of createology: Working in black and white is not easy however your landscape is looking excellent. You always share wonderful links dear. Maya Angelou…what a wise woman she was. Sunshine and Smiles from Utah.
ReplyDeleteFirst time I've attempted black and white and must say the biggest challenge was finding enough fabrics in my stash that would work.
DeleteLove your choice of fabrics for that quilt.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't show too well in the photo but the sky is done with hand dyed and stitched cheesecloth over fabric
