Inspired to do some housekeeping

Please do get your mind out of the gutter by thinking that I'm doing some ACTUAL housekeeping!!  However, I was inspired by another blogger who is updating her blog posts and know that I really should do the same.  Many of the links I referenced 'back in the day' are no longer live so I have decided that I should remove most of them and only try to keep the ones from the past couple of years.  Methinks it's going to take a very long time to do that particular chore but it might make my blog easier to navigate.  Oh....squirrel......

Over the weekend I started working on the latest landscape and here's the progress so far...

- Have a peek at the work by THIS artist.

- THIS is a great tip for layering quilts in a small space (and to save the dreaded trying to get up from the floor scenario!)

- I think there could be many uses for THIS

- Now might be the time to be making some of THESE (great gift idea!)

  1. The quilt idea is clever. And I noticed that the thrift books ad on her website was listing the books I've read recently on my Kindle. Creepy much..

    1. Interesting - I didn't notice that on her site, but will check on it now just to see.

  2. Hit Home makes me feel a bit teary...share your light. Thank you
I'd say I feel lit, but that might create the wrong impression. lol
Great links. The wire rock thing is a keeper. I have both materials for that one. By the end of the day I'll be a wiring rocks fool. lol

    1. Feeling lit is just fine - no wrong impression there.
Hope, if you play with the wire/rock thing, that you share pictures!

    1. I should have done it long before now because it's proving to be a daunting task.

  4. I should do some housecleaning on my blog as well. I have lots on my sidebar that don't post anymore.

    God bless.

    1. I'm making a plan to try to remember to do the houseclean of my blog every January. Do you think I'll succeed?

    1. Wish vacuums worked on blogs - sure would make the cleanup process a whole lot faster!

  6. No floor-basting for me! I use the cutting table as the basting table. That requires me to keep the table cleared off and to get the basting done so that I can cut once again. Did you piece/applique all the elements in the landscape? Wow. As for old blog posts--I've thought about deleting some of the early ones. They are pretty lame. It took a while to get into my blogging groove. (I've gone back to early posts by other bloggers and observed the same thing.) But that's way, way down the list of Things I Need to Do.

    1. One of the many reasons I don't do sane quilts is the possibility of having to baste on the floor. I'll be sticking to wall hanging size.
It's been interesting going through some of my old posts...so much I've forgotten.

Sherry of createology: Your newest landscape looks very interesting. I shall enjoy your progress. I like the flashlight analogy. Stormy here with wind ad pending rain. Staying indoors and writing my #RandomActsofMail and #LoveNotesFairies cards.

  10. That's such an interesting subject for your new quilt. I've added a bookmark for the airplant link - I think it would be good to do with a little boy (or 2) that I know.

    1. I rather liked that airplant idea too but I've never seen them available here (not that I've spent a whole lot of time looking for them).
