Our wee granddaughter is turning two this month and what grandmother doesn't know that a little girl needs wardrobe enhancement? So, this happened...
Pattern is the Infinite A-line Dress from Bonnie and Blithe and can be found HERE.
- If you're on a quest to use up fabric scraps, perhaps THIS might catch your eye.
- If you're a fan of chai tea, perhaps you'd like to try THIS?
What an adorable outfit you've sewn;)) I just bet she will love wearing it;))) Nice work! hugs for a grand weekend Julierose
ReplyDeleteShe'll look cute wearing it I know. As for the weekend - we're supposed to be getting a snowstorm so we'll happily hunker down inside.
DeleteAbsolutely adorable! What a lucky granddaughter. :)
ReplyDeleteShe's the first girl in our immediate family so I feel I can indulge her with all the girlie things I've been wanting to make all these years!
DeleteThat's a very cute birthday outfit! I hope she rocks it. About the quotation: ideas are the same way, don't hold onto them, use them, plenty more where that came from!
ReplyDeleteI suspect it will be a little big for her just yet but she'll grow into it. And yes, ideas ARE the same!
DeleteAdorable dress. Your sewing talent is always amazing how fast you can put things to a finish.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt link is fantastic> Nice and sort of easy quilt patterns are always nice to find.
Having a Resident Chef (and household helper) in residence sure helps me find time to create things. That, and the fact that I refuse to sit in front of the tv in the evenings with nothing to keep my hands busy.
DeleteVery cute dress. Thank you for the link as I know a wee girl I can make one for :)
ReplyDeleteI found watching her videos (slowed down a bit) was helpful, but then again I'm not a garment sewer so it's a learning curve for me.
DeleteWhat a cute dress.
ReplyDeleteI am going to try Resident Chef's idea on only reheating part of the Eggplant Parma next time I pull a container out.
God bless.
Thanks - I hope she gets lots of wear out of it. Hope the Eggplant reheating idea works for you!
DeleteYou are one great Gramma, such an adorable outfit.
ReplyDeleteCatherine
I work very hard to be a great G'ma because I feel so blessed to have four littles in my life.
DeleteYes, you are wonderful to be stitching that beautiful outfit. I like how you keep control of the projects. I am learning to do that too. Thanks for the links...I love that improv coins pattern.
ReplyDeleteI'm learning as I go when it comes to sewing clothing. The last time I made anything other than for our wee grandie was when I was in high school and that was a miserable failure.
DeleteSherry of createology: This is such an adorable dress and bottom. I also love your knitted doll however Blogger is not publishing my comments for at least a week now. I hope you are safe and warm in this crazy Winter weather.
ReplyDeleteHope it fits her but I suspect it's going to be a little too big just yet. Wonder what Blog-grrrr has stuck in their craw now...seems like it's always something.
DeleteWhat a perfect outfit! Nice work, Gram!
ReplyDeleteConsidering I'm not a clothing seamstress I think it turned out okay.
DeleteOMGoodness, what an adorable outfit! I think she needs more than one?!
ReplyDeleteOh, she'll be getting more, there's no doubt of that!
Deleteoh that is such a cute outfit!! I love sewing for little ones... it's so quick!! xx
ReplyDeleteWell, for me it's not quick because I'm on a big learning curve. I've never sewn little dresses before so it takes me awhile (and several bits of reverse stitching) to get it right.
DeleteThank you so much for pointing out the free dress pattern. Love the one you made. Joysjots
ReplyDeleteThanks Joy - our grandie looks really cute wearing it so it was a win.
