I finished making five postcards and a greeting card and, in a fit of no-brains, I sealed them into envelopes ready to mail without taking pictures to show you. Oh well, suffice to say, they're done.
You'll just have to imagine what they looked like!
- I know THIS is a paid pattern, but it made me laugh.
- I apologize if I've sent you to THIS before but I think it's a great gift idea that's quick and easy to make.
- I think THIS is cute and a great use for that package of specialty buttons you haven't been able to find a use for (scroll down for the pattern).
- If you're giving gift cards this year, perhaps you'd like to make THESE to go with them.
- THESE are different and don't look hard to make. Good use for some scrap yarn or that over-sized ball of twine you've been saving.
Maybe you'll ask the card recipients to send you a picture! We used to get onto enbroiderers Guild members who would finish and send off projects and forget we hadn't seen them!
ReplyDeleteI had every intention of taking photos and then it completely slipped my mind until after I'd parceled them up. Oh well.
DeleteThey are lovely no matter what they look like because you made them from the heart.
ReplyDeleteawww - thank you! I hope the recipients think so too!
DeleteI had to giggle when you said just imagine about the cards you made, I am sure they are lovely, your other work is so pleasing to see and enjoy. Thank-you for the links, i was just on Michaels site this morning, they are giggle in granny blankets.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Thanksgiving.
Catherine
I'm definitely losing it because I (and RC) just spent three hours turning our small apartment looking for something. Lots of dust elephants but not what we were looking for.
DeleteThank you for the Thanksgiving wishes, but ours was in October (Canada)
Happy Thanksgiving

Sherry of createology: Good morning MA: I have been so quick to wrap or seal envelopes since I am so far behind there has been no photo taking here either. I just hope recipients like what they receive. Your links are wonderful. I love the kitchen towels for hostess gifts. Blessings my friend.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to make some of those kitchen towels but they'll be for next year's gifts I think.
DeleteI like those kitchen towels too and rather wish I'd found that link before I pretty much finished all the gifts I have on my list.
DeleteI laughed at the little pigs :) and I applaud the woman who doesn't knit or crochet but loves yarn, so had to come up with crafts like those stars. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the pigs - they certainly made me smile. Not about to buy the pattern but they ARE cute! The stars are intriguing too.
Deletethose pigs are so wonderfully funny!! Love that Japanese saying a lot...so true...hugs and Happy thanksgiving to you and yours...
ReplyDeleteJulierose
I'm not a pig person, but I did like those cute little guys. Thanks for the thanksgiving wishes, atlhough I have to admit there's a bit late for us here in Canada (we celebrate in October, which always causes confusion).
DeleteI have also been known to package many an item up without taking a picture. Getting just slightly better as I age, but not by much.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I seem to manage to do it every year with something that I wish I'd remembered to take a photo of.
DeleteHappens to us all Mary Anne! Some lovely links today and a great saying! Hugs Christine xx
ReplyDeleteToo many things needing to be done this time of year so I guess some things slip through the cracks.
DeleteDust elephants and dumpage...great words! Yes, I have been there, done the massive dumpage looking for something. But your story is not as bad as Mom's. One day she lost her reading glasses and her and dad spent ages turning everything upside down looking for them till my brother appeared and told Mom she was wearing them on her head, which she had been doing the whole time. Yes, the two of them, but as Dad said men are not supposed to be observant. Funny how times like that though are useful for coming across some other thing forgotten about. THanks as always for the great links!!
ReplyDeleteHah - the glasses story hits close to home! RC used to only wear reading glasses from the dollar store so he had several pairs all over the house. I'd hear him muttering about where his danged glasses were and I'd go out and discover he likely had at least two pairs perched on the top of his head and another couple hanging from his shirt front. Of course he never thought to check either place! Now he has to wear glasses all the time so at least he knows where they are.
DeleteJapanese wisdom is so true! Too bad everyone doesn't follow it as the world would be a much nicer place.
ReplyDeleteI agree wholeheartedly!
