Took me the better part of three afternoons to piece all the hexies together for the landscape. I am nothing if not anal about these things!

Today's quote..."If you want to hear the sound of birds don't buy a cage. Plant a tree"
Good work getting all those green hexies sewn together--I just love working with hexies--;ove the differing shades of greens you have there...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteI was happy to realize I had enough greens already made so it was a simple (albeit time-consuming!) matter to put them together.
DeleteFiremen are fixing our washed out road and I'm so very grateful. So Thank You, all Firemen, you are my heroes.
ReplyDeleteFiremen are heroes, there's no question.
DeleteThe fabric painting is a cool idea..no, no, it has to wait, I have all these projects ahead of it..
ReplyDeletehee hee - am I enabling you again????
DeleteGreetings my Friend: The hexies are amazing in your landscape, beautiful, you are talented.
ReplyDeleteYes thank-you firefighters, its a shame more people do not thank-them, we have a law enforcement officer/volunteer firefighter living next door.
Thank-you for the links especially the dyed fabric link.
Catherine
Yes, we need to publicly thank first responders far more than what we do. My cousin is a firefighter but luckily not involved in the forest fire situation.
DeleteGlad you enjoyed the links!
This is already looking lovely Mary Anne and I love your quote today! Christine xx
ReplyDeleteIt's coming together and I must admit I was happy that I had enough hexies floating around to do what I wanted.
DeleteVery nice, I like the hexie border.
ReplyDeleteThe Norton art is gorgeous. I'd like to try something like that.
Good quote. :)
Thanks! I'd like to try that technique too but doubt I ever will.
DeleteSherry of createology: Your hexies are perfect for the green grasses. So many wonderful links to eye candy. Plant a tree and the birds will come and sing their tunes. Thank you Firefighters and all First Responders.
ReplyDeleteIt was a poor photo but it was dull outside again today - hopefully it will look better in the next picture.
DeleteGo green hexies! Never mind how long it takes, because they were the highlight, to me, of your last piece.
ReplyDeleteThank you - I liked them too!
DeleteLooking very good. I am not good at hand sewing so am always amazed by those, like yourself, that do such lovely work.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thank you Jackie. You might be amazed by my hand work, but I'm amazed at the speed you knit!
DeleteLove your determination in doing things the way you want. It may take long, but I'm sure it gives you a great feeling of satisfaction. I'm adding that quote to my notebook right now - thanks!
ReplyDeleteYes, I am nothing if not determined. Or stubborn, however you want to look at it. Glad you like the quote!
