I've started playing with the new commissioned landscape as you can see...
So far, so good. Now I have to start adding the things in the foreground and then it will be time to quilt it. At the moment I'm cutting out what seems like thousands of little itty bitty leaves...can't say I ever make anything easy!
- I could spend hours looking at the works by THESE artists...so much inspiration!
- THIS looks like something that would be fun to try.
- HERE is another artist that's worth checking out.
- Have a peek through the works of THIS artist too!
That's a terrific quotation for today, thank you. It's astute.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it!
DeleteSherry of createology: Your newest landscape is quite intriguing. My oh my the wonder of Artists and what they create! Bare Bones is quite thought provoking. Happy week my friend.
ReplyDeleteYes, I never cease to be amazed at what some people create - and what raw materials they use as well.
DeleteYour new project looks good, water glistens.
ReplyDeleteVery moving quote
Yay - glad the glisten in the water actually shows up!
DeleteYikes...all those leaves...but well worth all the effort and time, me thinks. Oh, the water! It glistens in the sunlight; so clever. Another amazing landscape on the way.
ReplyDeleteYes, I guess the all the time put into individual leaves will be worth it in the end, at least I hope so! I'm glad the water looks like it's in the sunlight because I was afraid it wouldn't show up.
DeleteWhat a welcoming landscape. I want to go there!
ReplyDeleteMe too - only NOT in mosquito and black fly season!!
DeleteLove this piece, it looks so cool and tranquil.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Tranquil is what I'm hoping for!
DeleteOoh, I’m loving your new landscape! Tell me, did you ever hear (when you talked to the funeral home) how “you” died and where they got that information?
ReplyDeleteThanks Cathy! As for the death thing, I haven't heard anything further. Suspect it was a computer glitch somewhere.
DeleteInteresting looking at your posts backwards from the most recent to this, because I got to see the after and before shot of your quilt work. More amazing.
ReplyDeleteI often scroll backwards and forwards through my posts to see if I am happy with what I've done. Somehow it's easier to take note that way than it is by looking at the project in real time.
DeleteI think you're a lot like me with little details being so important. I love finding out new names of things - who knew dandelion blossoms were called "clocks". That is a cool idea. I recently saw someone making a garland out of the dandelion heads stringing them just before they opened because once strung, they did open and it looked like a string of pompoms.
ReplyDeleteI remember making head bands using dandelions when I was a kid. They weren't very substantial but fun to do.
