Concoctions and possibilities

Don't know if any of you have tried, or are fans of, cold brew coffee but this is what we just tried making...

I've never had a 'commercial' version so have nothing to compare it with but I think it turned out pretty tasty.  We have to mess with the proportions of coffee/water/milk to get it to our taste but I think we'll be making it again.

The navel contemplation has resulted in this...

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

- Our local fire department posted THIS and strongly suggest that everyone should have it on their phones in case of emergency.  If you're ever in an accident or hurt emergency personnel can track you easily even if you're in a remote area.

#########

- Never let it be said that what you find in the links here isn't sometimes totally odd, as THIS will attest!

- Have a peek through the galleries of THIS artist.

- THIS caused an 'awwww' (and scrolling down will provide even more!)

- And further on the 'odd' things I might unearth, how about THIS?

Today's quote..."When you've done something wrong, admit it and be sorry.  No one in history has ever choked to death from swallowing his pride"

  1. The authorities posted an ad of some kind? I couldn't get through the demands for signing up and cookies and I dunno what else! If it's about tracking, my car is tracked, my phone is tracked, so I think we're pretty covered!

    1. It wasn't an ad per se, but a public service announcement from the fire department. I think they were mostly aiming it towards those people who like to hike in the back woods and then end up getting lost or hurt and in need of help. It happens pretty much every weekend here.

Sherry of createology: Your Cold Brew looks yummy. I like your sketch from contemplating your naval. Very cute Fork Bugs. All the colored pencil drawings are so interesting. Amazing texture art works too. When eating humble pie be sure to spit out the little crows feet so as not to choke. LOL P.S. I love your super clever Corgi ATC you swapped to Donna. Sunny Smiles Dear.

    1. The cold brew has definite possibilities but our first tasting was a bit too strong so we'll need to change the proportions somewhat. The 'sketch' isn't a sketch as much as it's a tracing of several different elements.

  3. Thank you!
I love ice coffee. Cold brew gives options. If I miss AM hot cup, then I can have an ice decaf coffee in the afternoon. Also, cold brew easily add sugar to make coffee syrup to mix a coffee frappe.

    1. There are all sorts of recipes to make cold brew all over the internet and it's really not hard. I have to figure the price to make it this way as opposed to simply popping a pod into our Keurig over ice...not sure how it will compare.

    1. I prefer coffee over tea and really don't prefer hot over cold - either is good!

  7. I tried the Dalgona Coffee trend during the first year of the pandemic and enjoyed it though I'm supposed to be caffeine free. My problem is I like my coffee light and sweet so I usually stick to tea. Like the sketch. I actually have that app on my phone but haven't had to use it luckily.

    1. I try not to drink too much coffee - two a day are my usual limit, but that's not to say I wouldn't like more. I'm putting that app on my phone but hope I'll never have need of it.

    1. I like coffee however it comes, much to my detriment I'm sure.
I'm looking forward to seeing the landscape evolve too.

  10. The boys have made cold brew, but I haven't yet. When it starts to get hotter in the morning, I might have to try it.
Your navel contemplation is off to a good start!

    1. Cold brew making is a tad messy but the end result is certainly tasty. We usually make iced coffee with our Keurig and it's good, but the cold brew version is smoother (if that makes any sense!).
