Yes, folks, we do have proof that I have indeed finished the stitching on the second Nutcracker. Phew! Now on to working on the second chef and once he is done I can start putting them together.
- THIS is a great little tote that would serve a whole lot of purposes.
- THIS would be fun to make for your fall decor.
- Have a look through the gallery of THIS artist.
- THIS link takes you to a PDF for a really nice fall wreath pattern that you can knit...but...you can also simply make it using pre-made felt.
- If you like acorns, perhaps THIS might be fun to make.
Today's quote..."I bought a little bag of air today. The company that made it was kind enough to put some potato chips in it as well"
Very nice stitching
ReplyDeleteLove the pumpkin coaster and knit acorn.
Must admit cross stitching this many ornaments is a tad boring - considering I have the attention span of a gnat. Oh well, only one more to go!
DeleteI like the note on products loo Ike potato chips: some settling may occur! Meaning you're settling for less product.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that - settling for less product!!
DeleteLove that wreath but as I can't knit to save my life...well maybe a scarf. It would be a challenge for sure :)
ReplyDeleteDid you read further? It says that you can simply use felt instead of knitting the leaves. That's what I would do!
DeleteI admire your work. I hope to learn to be a better embroiderer.
ReplyDeleteBeing a better embroider just takes practice and being willing to experiment. Have fun, and thank you!
DeleteOooh, getting closer to the finish line. I've bought a few too many of those bags of air myself.
ReplyDeleteActually the last bag o' air we bought was a complete disappointment - not from the standpoint of the bag being mostly air but the chips themselves didn't taste great. Good thing, because now I have no desire to buy any more.
DeleteSherry of createology: You dear have made wonderful progress. Very soon you will be finished with these very complex ornaments. Gorgeous Gourds. Praying for all affected by Fiona in Canada and Ian in South Florida. Those very few potato chips in the bag of air are now very expensive!
ReplyDeleteYes, I will be glad to put these ornaments behind me. Seemed like a great idea to make them when I started but now it's becoming a slog.
DeleteFor sure there are prayers.
Your ornaments are gorgeous! You are so handy with a needle and thread, I would think that you actually enjoy stitching these. I love them!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed stitching the first nutcracker but the second one is a bit boring because I already know what it looks like.
DeleteThe ornaments look great Mary Anne. Good luck with getting the second chef finished too! Hugs Christine xx
ReplyDeleteThe second chef is well underway but he's still going to take awhile.
DeleteLove the ornaments, both nutcrackers and village. Can you please share where you got your patterns? Thanks
ReplyDeleteThank you! The ornaments came from this designer... https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/LivingOnTheRainbow . She has a number of great ornament designs available.
DeleteThank you!!!
DeleteThose decorations are going to be beautiful. You did an awesome job.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I'm not sure that the entire process won't fall apart when I try to put them together....that part remains to be seen!
DeleteThese are lovely, Mary Anne. I look forward to seeing them formed into ornaments.
ReplyDeleteI do too - hopefully they'll be cute when they're done and that the kids will like them.
