I can't exactly say this is a finish per se but at least the cross stitching part of it is finished....
This will ultimately be finished into a circular Christmas ornament but there are still two more in the series to make before I assemble them. You can see three more of the ornies in THIS post.
And, in case you were wondering...remember that sweet doll pattern I pointed you to in my last post? Well, I succumbed....
- THIS is shown as a Christmas quilt but there's no reason it couldn't be done in any colour you wanted. I think it would look good scrappy too.
- Have a peek at the fun garments found HERE. I love them but would never possess enough nerve to actually wear them.
- Have a scroll through the amazing wooden sculptures found HERE. AND have a scroll through THESE as well!
- And while you're looking at amazing works of art, how about the gallery of THIS one!
- AND just because this is a full-service (totally off-the-wall) blog, check THIS out.
Today the quote is courtesy of Matthew McConaughey...."We gotta really watch how quickly we like to say we deserve something...we can earn things, but I don't think we deserve things"
That doll is too cute but so are the teddy bears :)
ReplyDeleteYes, the teddy bears are really cute too and I might end up succumbing to buying that pattern too. So much temptation, so little time!
DeleteAmazes me how quickly you get great handwork finished. Joy
ReplyDeleteI must admit I'm dreading doing the actual putting together and actual finishing of these ornaments and that's why I'm procrastinating until I have them all stitched before I tackle it.
DeleteI love things like ways to use toothpaste! Definitely going to see if it will work on my sneakers. About removing white marks on furniture -- back when people smoked, cigarette ash was the material of choice. Now it's not so available.
ReplyDeleteWell, I can't let it be said that this blog isn't filled with lots of information - useful or not!
DeleteHe's looking good.
ReplyDeleteWow! Countas garments are stunning. I'de wear her designs in a heartbeat. Where is the problem as I rarely go anywhere to wear such fashions.
I don't go anywhere for those types of fashions either and being 5'10" tall means I'd look even larger if I were to try.
DeleteBeautiful cross-stitching Mary Anne. Looking forward to seeing the finished ornament. Hugs Christine xx
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing the finished ornament(s) too, but must admit I'm dreading the actually finishing step.
DeleteIt's so cute!
ReplyDeleteWell, I would have to sort of disagree at the cuteness factor because I think Nutcrackers are creepy. Luckily not everybody feels the same!
