A little progress, noticeable or not!

I know it's hard to see in this photo but the grass area has been 'quilted' (there will be more details added later on) and I've started filling in the house details.

- There is a wealth of information HERE for both knitters and crocheters.  This link takes you to their main page - then look in their sidebar on the right to click on areas of interest to you.

- THIS would be a fun gift to make for a family.

- If you hate to throw away scraps of fabrics or yarns perhaps THIS might be something fun to try doing.

- Go HERE for a wonderful online 'show' of amazing quilts.

Today's quote...."When you find no solution to a problem, it's probably not a problem to be solved but rather a truth to be accepted"

  1. That stitching has a name which escapes me. I've done it with embroidery floss, creating an airy sort of netting to use in mixed media art. It's a lot of fun. I did it by hand but you can machine it.

    1. Name escaped me too (perhaps you should be worried that we think alike?).

  2. Loving the added details; the color on that roof is so perfect--really warms up this piece a lot...

    1. There's a lot more work to be done on the roof yet, but I liked that piece of fabric as a base.

  3. The colors go well together. I like the interest the barn has, not the usual I see.

  4. That is so cool how you can look through the outside window and then the inside window.

    1. That's part of the charm of these abandoned buildings - there's always holes in them here and there. One more reason I find them fascinating I guess.

  5. I watched the quilt show and it was amazing. It's almost unbelievable what these quilter can make. I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite, they were all so gorgeous.

    1. Glad you enjoyed it. It's been hard to see quilt shows in person for the past while so I thought it would be fun to share this one.

  7. Thanks for the game quilt referral. I always think these would be nice for camping. I have made a quilt of multiple games that my sister now keeps at her cabin for the grand kids.

    1. You're right - camping would be the perfect use for something like that. Having a quilt with multiple games would be great.

  8. Oops…I said barn and did not realize this is an old home. Well I still love it. Another excellent quote. Your landscape details are what makes it come alive.

    1. No worries - you're used to me mostly working with barns so it could very well be either.

  9. It's exciting watching new landscape take shape. I thought it was a barn earlier, too!
