Question for you..... are any of you getting a message that looks like this when you try to leave comments? One reader has been and I'm trying to sort it out. Your feedback would be welcome!
In case you have difficulty reading the above: "Reply Not Supported - The reply address (no reply @ blogger.com) does not appear to be a monitored address. Messages to this address will likely not be read by anyone"
And, having said that, do any of you have any idea why this is happening?? And better yet, how to fix it? Or is it simply Blog-grrrr being a bully in the playground again?
On another front (and sorry, no pictures) I am finally making the plunge and getting rid of most of my crazy quilt fabric stash. I've come to the slow realization that it's taking up precious real estate in my sewing room and I have no (yes, absolutely none) desire to crazy quilt again. All that space would be better utilized to store my yarns so The Grande Sort is underway and I feel happy.
- If you have vintage linens lurking about in the bowels of your storage system, perhaps you might enjoy this blog hop, beginning with THIS one. At the bottom of her post you can click to visit the other participants.
- If you have kids, or just have a curious mind yourself, prepare to get lost in THESE!
- THESE are such pretty Easter eggs and not the least bit fattening either.
Your quote today is from Mahatma Gandhi..." A man who was completely innocent, offered himself as a sacrifice for the good of others, including his enemies and became the ransom of the world"
I haven't been getting any strange messages, but some people are reporting their blogs are suddenly showing captcha, which they never set up. So I think it's Blogger breaking stuff behind the scenes.
ReplyDeleteYes, it seems blog-grrrrr sometimes has issues that seemingly have no rhyme nor reason.
DeleteI haven't gotten that particular message before; blogger/bloglovin are both a total mystery to me--it can be very frustrating for sure...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know. I rather suspect it's an issue with her computer but who knows.
DeleteSo far, I'm having no issues with blogger. keeping fingers crossed! The kid links are great - going to pass it along to my daughter.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter
There are tons of great links for not only kids at that site....most of them are pretty fun for adults too.
DeleteI don't recall seeing that message. I do remember in the last month or so a few wonky reply incidents. I forget the details.
ReplyDeleteAnything that requires click on a something could be a scam. Instead of clicking, I back button or close the tab, and take a new route back to where I was.
Good suggestion - I tend to do that too. I never trust anything that looks odd and usually run for the hills (figuratively, of course!)
DeleteNope nothing here so far. I am going to keep my fingers crossed that this does not happen to me.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
OK, good....thank you!
DeleteSorry to hear you are no longer crazy quilting. I don't think I will ever get enough of it and I probably have enough projects (planned and otherwise) to last longer than what lifetime likely remains for me! I keep thinking I will run out of stash before I run out of life but that is very unlikely to happen. I think I did things the other way around. I spent years and years knitting, crocheting and cross stitching. Now I rarely do any of those things and focus mostly on CQ. Love reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteWelcome - so glad you left a comment!
DeleteAs for my move away from CQ - I'm not saying I'm totally giving it up and I expect I will do small projects like greeting cards and I have plenty of stash left for that purpose. For me, it comes down to a question of the space I have and what my current passions are. At this stage of my life I'm making a lot for our grandies (have to get my 'makings' in while they're still young enough to appreciate them!) and I would rather use my limited studio space for things like yarn and cottons that will work for them.
Don't forget - you can still cross stich on CQ projects!
No, I haven't seen anything like that. Sad to think we may have scammers among us. It feels good to purge our stuff every now and then, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know.
DeleteAnd yes, it's surprising how good I feel about getting rid of 'stuff' I know I'll never use.
I have friends and family that tell me they can't figure out how to leave comments on my blog. I don't know if they get this message, but I don't think they've signed up with blogger and they don't choose to for whatever reason. I sometimes cannot leave comments on blogs on other platforms if I haven't signed up with them. But I don't know about this message. The e-mails that I get with the comment moderation show me the name of the poster and some of them say the address is no-reply as above and I can't e-mail them back with a reply if they've asked for one. This is probably of no help to you - sorry. I love those Easter eggs.
ReplyDeleteActually what you've said is a help...thank you. It makes me believe that it's hit or miss. I was having a number of people that were coming up as 'no reply' so I couldn't respond to them so that's why I have gone to responding to all comments directly on my blog and I have turned on comment moderation. I know it's an extra step for my readers to go back to see my response to their comments but it's the only system that seems to keep people from falling through the cracks.
DeleteI get comments like that when I try to comment when I use my Ipad. For some reason I do not have the same problem when I use my laptop.
ReplyDeleteHmmm - I will have to ask if she's using an Ipad...thanks for that.
