Another finish!

Yes, there's another finish here at Chez Magpie and an addition to the 2020 Christmas box.  Several of you 'almost' guessed what I was creating!

I fell in like with some beautiful embroidery scissors and simply HAD to create a special pouch to hold them.  This is number one of a series of three.  And here are the scissors that started all this in the first place....
They measure 4" long

Today's quote..."Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created"

  1. Yes, I was close with the needle case idea. Lovely idea for keeping your embroidery scissors. Thanks for the links.

    1. You were close with your guess though. As for dimensions - it measures approx. 5 1/2 x 7" closed and 5 1/2" x 15 open.

  3. Beautiful!
    Thank you for the inspiration.
I remember now you are the blog that gave me the idea, and incentive, to make gifts this year, birthdays, and holidays.

  4. Well I guess I should be happy that I've given you an idea/incentive when there's a whole lot of worse things I could be guilty of!

  5. That's lovely! I didn't write down a guess, but I was thinking along the lines of your fabulous postcards, only maybe bigger - like a folding card with possibly a fabric "frame" on the inside to hold a photograph. But I love your finished object :)

    1. I work on Christmas gifts pretty much all year and then I put them away in the box and forget about them, so it's a Christmas present for me too when I open the box and get ready to wrap things.

  9. It's beautiful! Perfectly fitting for those pretty scissors. That granny heart pattern is a favorite of mine. Reminds me I really ought to TRY to decorate a little for the seasons. Going to find my valentine-y things and put some around tomorrow.

    1. Yes, those scissors deserved a pretty case...or at least that's my idea anyway. Just have to get a packet of needles and the gift is complete. No seasonal decorations here I'm afraid - no room to store them.
