Here's the start of a third scissor pouch...
This one will be mainly blue and white with
small amounts of green and gold.
Your quote for today..."I'm at that age where my mind still thinks I'm 29, my humor suggests I'm 12, and my body mostly keeps asking if I'm sure I'm not dead yet"
Hi Mary Anne,
ReplyDeleteYour scissor pouch is looking beautiful already, lovely piecing too.
That wrap is something else, isn't it - wow - love it. Looks as if it'd be a fast knit, chunky yarn? I studied it for a while, wondering if I could attempt it. Perhaps made into a poncho, even?
Some of the denim pieces, the lovely cat bag, I would happily have!
Have a lovely weekend, x
Val (UK)
Thanks Val. I like the cat bag too - it's what initially caught my eye. Not that I need another bag!! I don't use a wrap but I have to say that one almost tempts me to try it.
DeleteHope you have a nice weekend too!
I love the tractor quilt on your header and that quote - so true!
ReplyDeleteThank you - I'm happy with the tractor and now I can't wait to try doing another one.
DeleteGood start on your #3 colors, embellishing and embroidery.
ReplyDeleteFunny quote, keeping a sense of humor makes life go a little smoother.
Blues are my favourites so this one is easy to work on.
DeleteOh, how I can relate to your quote! Love your blue pretty, Mary Anne.
ReplyDeleteThat quote made me laugh so it was worth sharing. Glad you like my blues!
DeleteYour quote is so true!! My mom had a wooden plaque hanging in her kitchen that rings true too: Grandmas are just antique little girls! That's my motto! Thanks for the links.
ReplyDeleteOh I love that - 'Grandmas are just antique little girls'!!
Deleteooh.. I love me some blue, too! The denim creations you linked to are... interesting. While I can't imagine wearing any of it, it was definitely fun to look at. And the quote - too funny.
ReplyDeleteI do agree - those denim creations are 'interesting'. Not my thing, so to speak, but fun to see anyway.
DeleteAlready love how this is looking! Blue is my favourite colour! Christine xx
ReplyDeleteMine too Christine! I saved this one to work on last because I knew it would be my favourite.
Deletescissor pouch? What a good idea!! Perhaps they should have warnings of severe consequences printed on them to warn off those who wish to use them to remove the rind from bacon? or toe nail cutting? yes...it's happened here!!
ReplyDeleteHah - Resident Chef knows that if he touches my sewing scissors they will be used on him. But then again, I don't touch his kitchen shears either so there's that. The scissor pouches came about because I stumbled on the beautiful scissors and they just HAD to have a case.
