A few more, and a little extra

Today I thought I'd show you the project that our CQTeers group did at our last meeting.  The door to my sewing room doesn't want to stay open so a doorstop was in order and why wouldn't I want to have a cute little fellow like this?....
Pattern is from Wee Folk Art
and can be found HERE.

This one is made up of all straight stitches.

Three rows of Herringbone stitch.

Another simple one made up entirely of straight stitches with some French knots.

It's finally turned summer here!  I'm happy, although I could rather do without the humidity.  So I thought this quote from Warren Buffett was appropriate..."Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago"

  1. Such a cute door stopper. Fun and functional mats for Alzheimer's and Dementia sufferers. Lovely seam treatments. You have a huge variety of combinations and they all look wonderful. I like Warren Buffet's quote and common sense way of life. Yay for Summer. We are in Winter...again...and I am freezing!

  2. Cute kitty 'guarding' your sewing room. What a great idea for jean waistbands. Enjoy those warm days, lovely lady. =)

  5. I did join with you for a collection sigh over humidity, luckily I have escaped to the UK for a couple of weeks. Love that quote though and am open to finding a way of planting my own shade in Bangkok, will work on this (and I don't mean planting a tree but creating a purposeful life to distract from the heat!) Hopefully you too are finding some shade.
I loved the Alzheimer's Activity Mat, I have been visiting my Grandma daily who has been v sick since I have been here, she is in her 100th year and sadly beyond this, but this would have been great a few years ago.
    Keep cool!

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
