Oh, the excitement!

Yep, I'm beyond excited.  Really thrilled actually!

What have I done today?

W - e - l - l ......

First of all,
just for the sheer exuberance of it
I painted this!!

'This' is a cedar lined blanket box that my Dad made many moons ago.  It was painted a really AWFUL colour.  I really have hopes that one of our kids will want it and if they don't, well, I'm sure prospective buyers at the yard sale will be much more interested if it's white.

And then....
just for additional oomph in my life....

I covered the top of my worktable with cheapie tile from the dollar store!

I can barely contain myself.

P.S. My work tables are getting really ratty on top and I always look at those tiles but never sure how to use them---now I know!

  7. I hope one of your children will want this family keepsake. I treasure the coffee table my Grandfather made for my Grandmother when they were dating. I know it is impossible to keep everything but family treasures are a real treasure. The work bench looks great and when it gets messed up the tiles can be easily replaced.

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
