For a little change of pace

...how about a picture of a blooming thing?  I was gifted the amaryllis bulb for Christmas and now am enjoying something pretty instead of looking out at all the snow.

Thank you MEK!

- For those of you who like fingerless mitts, perhaps THIS pattern might interest you.

- There's an interesting discussion about sewing for others HERE.

- The quilters among you might find THIS quilt-a-long of interest.

- For those who are in the season of cold, perhaps you'd like to have a play with doing THIS!

Today the quote is from Martin Luther King Jr..."Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.  Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that"

  1. Thanks for the gloves link. I've signed up to follow her. That's a good description of cabling.

  2. Love, love, love that conversation about friends and family expecting you to alter, replace or sew whatever just because you quilt--SO TRUE!! I do quilt, but I do not like mending, repairing zips, making pouches etc. just not my forte...So I guess I am an one of those: "A@@$#%^" !! :))))
We had 4.5" of snow overnight so we are in a "Winter Wonderland" here. We've had more snow this Winter than we've had in the past 4-5 years. Being on the SE CT coast here we usually miss getting the snowstorms...but not this year!! So pretty and since I don't really have to go anywhere, being retired and all, I love it!! Hugs, Julierose

I'm one of those too and I sometimes get myself into doing repairs or such for other people because I can't say no to a good friend. It's not my thing either!
Glad you're enjoying the snow and I'll happily send you some of ours if you want it.

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
