I'm posting this for my own records rather than it being the least bit exciting to you (not that I harbour any illusions that ANY of my posts are exciting!!). I finished another pair of socks using my usual sock 'recipe' and Kroy sock yarn...
Dare I say these are destined for the (gasp) 2026 Christmas box?
- THIS is one of my awwww-worthy things.
- THIS little fellow is rather cute too.
- THESE look like they'd be fun to make and would use up nail polish you don't really like.

If I could make socks like that, I would be singing with excitement! Honestly! Love the quote about kindness, it is so true. Take care. x
ReplyDeleteThank you Kay! I pretty much always have socks on the needles so I can just pick them up and knit when I have a few minutes. I always use the same pattern and just vary the length and add on a few stitches if I'm knitting for bigger feet.
DeleteThe nail polish flowers use the same technique as miniature wire spectacles. There you fashion the frames from 28 gauge wire then dip the lens areas in white glue. The lenses dry clear! It's like magic.
ReplyDeleteI remember something that was all the rage back in the early 70's (or maybe it was the late 60's) that involved dipping wire-formed flower petals into some sort of liquid plastic. I did some back then but can't remember the name of the product.
DeleteCute socks! It is exciting to see what scene you are quilting next.
ReplyDeleteOk, the nail polish flowers link has to be the strangest craft I’ve seen in a long while. I have to try that just to be able to say I did. 🤣

Be sure to share pictures if you try the flowers!
