(please note...I left the 'johns' out!)
- I fell down the rabbit hole HERE. So many pretties!
- There are some great ideas HERE for upcycling used lighting.
- Although THIS is supposedly for dollhouses, why wouldn't it be fun to make them just because?
- THESE are pretty!
- Thanks to Quinn for THIS! It's great fun to open a window somewhere in the world (and if you look at the bottom of the screen you can continue to click through onto others). Sorry if I've created an obsession!!
Lovely finish on this landscape--I especially like the clouds you've made...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteThanks! I used a trapunto technique for some of the clouds to give them a little dimension.
DeleteThat quilted picture has come out very well..
ReplyDeleteYes..be the change and the light....
Thank you! I guess maybe posting about being the change and the light might have been fitting also considering the time change over the weekend...didn't think of that!
DeleteThe new landscape is wonderful! Thanks for the links -- I'm going to explore the second-hand treasures.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nann.
DeleteGreat new landscape! That didn't take long.
ReplyDeleteThis one was quicker because there's no hand embroidery on it. That's what takes a lot of time to do.
Deletegreat finish on the truck!! enjoyed the links

Thank you - and glad you enjoyed the links.
DeleteSherryofcreateology: MA Dear your “Harvest Time at Willowview Farm” is magnificent. You really have such an artistic way with fabrics and landscapes! Today’s quote is totally me! If only Hoomans could be as loving as Animals!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherry - this landscape was fun to create, for sure.
DeleteI like the composition of this one very much - the colors, the textures, the balance, everything. And I like your interpretation of the stone wall better than the original :) Glad you're enjoying the windows! I find it a very restful place to visit.
ReplyDeleteThank you Quinn! And yes, I'm mesmerized by those windows...falling down that rabbit hole a lot!
DeleteThis is a lovely landscape. You did amazing on this one. Glad you left off the john's.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Hah - me too! Somehow I didn't think they were necessary (at least in a landscape...perhaps more so in real life).
Deletethis one is my third most favorite ever ... you already know my two MOST favorites ... all those awesome pumpkins AND an old truck!!! lurve!!!?
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it Dianne - it was a fun one.
DeleteVery nice! I love the stitching in the frame. The colors and textures of the image are perfect.
ReplyDeleteMight as well use the fancy stitches on my machine for something!
DeleteHaha....I must say that outhouses aren't the most attractive of structures, though perhaps a Victorian era one with pretty fables might. Best leave them out. I've looked at your landscape for yonks. There is so much visual loveliness. Those puffy, white clouds in the sky are amazing; as are the trees, the stone wall, the pumpkins, the building and of course , the truck. Why, I want one just like it. I must say I love what you did with the frame. Those machine embroidery stitches remind me of those frames back in the day. Just superb, Mary Anne!. Yes, let us be the light and show kindness in our little corner of the world; every day, all day.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim. And yes to a Victorian outhouse!! I'd love a truck just like that too.
DeleteClever use of preprinted fabrics this time. Great job.
ReplyDeleteI lucked out when I found that piece of pumpkin fabric because it was certainly perfect for what I wanted.
DeleteWow. You really got that truck down! And the other details, too. Puffy clouds! :D A wonderful autumn piece.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to do this one for a long time so it was a great score when I found the piece of preprinted pumpkins.
DeleteWhat a fabulous finish, I LOVE all those pumpkins!
ReplyDeleteThe pumpkins and the old truck certainly caught my eye so it was a fun project to work on.
