This little darling hopped all the way here and was created by the clever fingers of Donna who chose to give him away and I was the lucky winner! I've never attempted to do goldwork and when I saw this little charmer I know the odds are pretty high I never will because all those little beads (chips?) are SO tiny and I know I'd never be able to see well enough to even begin. Donna does incredible needlework so do pay her a visit HERE.
Thank you Donna!!!!💕
- THESE are quite pretty and don't look too difficult to create.
- THIS would make a great gift for someone with a sweet tooth.
- You might want to have a go at making THESE.
- THIS is something you can have fun with yourself or with younger family members.
Today's quote..."Don't change so people will like you. Be yourself, and the right people will love the real you"
Such a beautiful gift. Yes, it is a very tedious piece which then I would call made by a talented person.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how Donna sees to work with such teeny little 'bits' - definitely a work of art!
DeleteThat's a lovely piece of work! And the colors, right in my faves. Lucky you. Well, you're always giving, so it's good to receive, too.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite colours too! I wish the picture did him justice....he sparkles in the light and that doesn't show.
DeleteWhat a stunning gift!!:))) She really does beautiful work...enjoy hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteYes, I think I'm very lucky to be able to give one of her delightful froggies a good home!
DeleteBeautiful! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHer work is gorgeous. Thank you for the links
The oragami star will be my afternoon struggle. :)
He is indeed beautiful! He's tucked away in our china cabinet where he will be safe.
DeleteLet me know how the star turns out!
Oh wow! What a gorgeous frog. Lucky you. I might have to make that salted caramel sauce instead of my homemade marshmallows this year. Thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think I'm very lucky to be able to give that frog a home.
DeleteI've never made marshmellows but should try them for the grandies sometime. I'd like that salted caramel sauce over some really good french vanilla ice cream....yum!
Sherry of createology : Mary Anne Dear I adore your Wee Little Froggie and I am so glad you won this from Sweet Donnna. Her stitched creations are exquisite. This quote is so important and I wish young people (tweens) would learn it early in their life’s journey. Thank you for the links. May December be a month of calm and JOY for you and Resident Chef. XOXO
ReplyDeleteI rather adore my wee froggie too! He's tucked away in the china cabinet where he's safe and I can see him every day.
DeleteWhat a wonderful creation that is. I just checked out Donna's blog, and she does do beautiful embroidery! Enjoy you precious little frog, Mary Anne!
ReplyDeleteThank you Becki - my little frog makes me smile every time I look at him and I'm so grateful that Donna wanted to bless me with him.
DeleteHe's beautiful. I love froggies! Christine xx
ReplyDeleteI love them too, although I don't want to broadcast that too much because my friends would inundate me with them. I once bought myself a little teddy bear and made the mistake of showing it to friends and before I knew it they were giving them to me for every possible occasion. By the time we moved here I had over a hundred. I ended up only keeping two little ones - one of which was the original one I bought in the first place.
DeleteCongratulations on your win! Cute frog.
DeleteHe IS a cute wee froggie and I'm happy to give him a home.
DeleteWhat a stunning creation! Congratulations :)
ReplyDeleteI think he's pretty sweet and consider myself very fortunate to have been the lucky winner.
