Over the weekend I started the next landscape. As usual, I'm trying a somewhat different approach so we'll see how it evolves.
- Some of you who are knitters or crocheters might appreciate having THIS chart handy.
- THIS is a great resource as well! And while you're there check out the free patterns HERE.
- THIS is a beautiful pattern.
- Be sure to spend some time peeking into the galleries of THIS incredible artist!!
- And, THIS artist - wow, talk about incredible work!!! How I'd love to see his work in person.
- And be sure you go and see THIS!!!!
- Sometimes the easiest (and cheapest) makes are the cutest as THIS will attest.
Today the quote is from Winston Churchill..."Tact is the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip"
Those fiber wall hangings are just lovely, so warm and complex. Thanks for showing us.
ReplyDeleteWhen it's at this stage I always question the wisdom of carrying on but I know it will (should!) get better.
DeleteI was referring to the link to the tapestry artist, in fact. But you can accept it, too, fine by me.
Deleteoops - I totally misread what you had said! Good thing you clarified it. Serves me right for doing things in a hurry.
DeleteThat landscape is beautiful, thank-you for all the great links.

You're welcome! Glad you enjoy them.

ReplyDeleteI look forward to the progress. Barns always melt the heart.
Esspeer has gorgeous work! One of those is a great gift for the person that has everything.
I'm a huge fan of crumbling old barns (well, any old building really).
DeleteAnd yes - the gift for a person that has everything provided you probably have a deep pocketbook!
The landscape is taking form. I have bookmarked that free knitting pattern site.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Glad you found something in the links that intrigued you!
DeleteLove seeing you back on landscapes. That stripping technique looks very familiar to me. Amazing how your scenes look like places around here.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like the landscapes - I often wonder if people are thoroughly bored with seeing them. This particular barn is, I believe, in Alberta.
DeleteYou are so good at doing these it’s a pic in fabric ,stunning work and glad I found your page again ,I am back blogging ,happy Easter my friend 🌹🤍🌹
ReplyDeleteWelcome back!! I'll be over to check out your blog later on.
DeleteIt's always exciting to see you tackle another landscape! I look forward to watching this one grow :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy doing the landscapes and try to challenge myself to a new technique if I can. Some work out, some not so much!
DeleteAlways like it when you start a new landscape Mary Anne. This one is looking great already! Can't wait to see more! Hugs Christine xx
ReplyDeleteI always like starting a new landscape too - it's fun to see where it takes me.
DeleteYour greens add so much life to that landscape.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to depict a spring scene so that led to the fabric choices for the grass area...hopefully they come across as being spring-like.
