I've been working on a couple of little outfits for our wee grandie and this is the first one...
Dress pattern is THIS one and the diaper cover is from HERE. I added the lace and the little flower just because I could!
- THIS is an easy way to create a hanging kitchen towel (and would make great gifts too!)
- There's a ton of fun free embroidery patterns to be found HERE.
- They also have some printable adult coloring pages that might be fun to tackle. Go HERE.
- Have a peek through the amazing creations found HERE.
Today I have this for your quote...
That's a lovely outfit. You're really enjoying dressing that little girl!
ReplyDeleteThe hanging towels are good - I've been given a couple which I wore to shreds, very useful.
There hasn't been a little girl in our family (extended or otherwise) for probably nearly 45 years. I have some serious catching up to do!!
DeleteWe use hanging towels all the time otherwise they end up on the floor.
What a lovely outfit for your girl to sport!! Hanging towels are a family fave here; That "Wading Woman" Embroidery is so spectacular...almost like needlepoint in appearance...thanks for your links and i hope you have a great weekend... hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteJust hope it fits her! We use hanging towels too so this pattern caught my eye. Great weekend to you too!
DeleteOMG, that is the cutest little girl dress I’ve ever seen!!
ReplyDeleteawwww Cathy - that's so nice! Of course the dress is going on the cutest little girl I've ever seen (but then again, I'm just a tad biased).
DeleteSherry of createology: I love this adorable dress and diaper cover. The fabric and ribbon and lace is perfect. Your Little Grand will be quite the fashionista! Thank you for all the links that get my head to spinning with inspiration. Yes this quote hits home…STUFF. I know I have a lot of it for my only daughter to deal with. If I go first hubby will merely hire the largest dumpster and throw it all in. :o(
ReplyDeleteI'm happy with the little dress and just have my fingers crossed that it will fit her now.
DeleteAs for stuff- I know my kids will just hire a dumpster too so I have to use things up!
Your sewing skills, and energy, are amazing.
ReplyDeleteDon't be too quick to say my sewing skills are decent - this is just a little dress but when it comes to adult-sized clothing I'm a complete basket case. And yes I've tried telling myself that it's the same thing, only bigger, but it doesn't work.
DeleteGorgeous outfit. Lovely work.
ReplyDeleteI really like the saying as it is so very true.
God bless.
I'm hoping it will look cute on our wee one - but even more, I'm hoping it will fit!
DeleteI so enjoy seeing the things you make for your sweet grandie. This little dress and diaper cover is so precious.
ReplyDeleteThank you - hope it fits her! I'm out of touch with proper sizing for babies so it's 50/50.
DeleteWhat a sweet fabric for a sweet little dress. It's beautiful, Mary Anne.
ReplyDeleteI fell in like with that fabric and had to make a dress with it. I think it might prove to be quite wrinkly though so will have to wait and see.
DeleteSuch a beautiful outfit Mary Anne. I love the fabric you have used. Hugs Christine xx
ReplyDeleteI love that fabric too. It has little girl just written all over it.
DeleteAwwww MA...This is the sweetest thing I have seen in a long time.....absolutely love it!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sue! It was fun to make, for sure. Fingers crossed it fits!
DeleteI So love sewing for little girls. You did a beautiful job.
ReplyDeleteHaven't had a little girl to sew for in a very long time so I'm definitely making the most of it.
DeleteOMG, that is so cute!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly does have the cuteness factor, doesn't it.
DeleteI love how colourful it is, what a lucky little girl to be wearing that!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing pictures of her wearing it - hopefully!
