A bit more progress

At this point, the sky has been mostly stitched as well as the grass area.  Now it's on to the truck itself.

UPDATED TO ADD THIS!  Resident Chef treated me to this for my birthday...

- THIS is a really pretty (and easy to memorize!) crochet design for a blanket of any size.

- Some of you might find THIS tutorial useful when making bags.

- THIS is an inspiration link, only, but perhaps if you're inundated with fabric scraps you might get some ideas.

- If you have old books lurking about, perhaps one (or more!) of THESE ideas might be of interest.

Today's quote..."Choose love.  Choose inclusion.  Choose empathy, compassion, equality, dignity and diversity.  Choose community, kindness, integrity, honesty, respect.  Choose justice, facts, peace, the planet.  Choose humanity.  But most of all choose love"

  2. Happy Birthday, Mary Anne! The orchid is lovely.

So... at first when I looked at your landscape I thought, "Oh cool, I didn't realize there were windmills in the original picture." When I went back to check it out, of course I see bunches of trees. While your white things sure look like windmills, now I'm suspecting I'm wrong, but you've got me sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to find out. :)

    1. You're right - you're seeing wind turbines. Artistic license, what can I say. I wanted to include a field of canola and saw a photo of one that had the turbines so one thing led to another (as it often does in my studio!)

Your andscape is coming along nicely.. I see giant wind mills. The truck foundation is perfect. I think the kitty was the star of the waffle afghan. Love the book page ideas. 1. Funny how birthdays happen every year - but they're pretty much always low key around here. The exception was going out to a really nice restaurant for supper last night to celebrate his 80th. We arranged it quite well - his b'day is the 21st and mine is the 22nd.

    Gorgeous orchid

I enlarge the photo for a closer look at your stitching. It is fascinating how the different patterns blend so well.

    1. Thank you! Normally we don't celebrate birthdays but since his was a 'significant' number I thought it was a good excuse to go out. Then he was feeling guilty, hence the orchid for me.
