There's another section completed (maybe!) on the latest landscape...
- If you are like a lot of people you have UFO's lurking in your creative space. Joy has created some really pretty planning pages you can use to help you get a handle on them. Go HERE.
- Some people see things where I would never think to look! Have a look at THESE!
- Have a peek through the gallery of THIS artist!
- I found a scroll through THIS interesting.
- Most of us have an empty pill bottle (or several!) kicking around because we hate to throw them out. There are some interesting recycling ideas for them HERE.
Today's quote is from Madalyn Beck..."Don't forget to love the way you want to be loved, listen the way you want to be heard, give the way you hope others give, care the way you want others to care, because change doesn't start with them, it starts right here"
The transformed rocks are amazing. Such an eye, yes.
ReplyDeleteExactly! Her painting abilities are incredible, but to 'see' the creature waiting to appear out of the rock is a rare talent.
DeleteBoth the fencing and that cute cardinal are lovely--nice work this is really coming together...
ReplyDeletehugs from a cooling down day here Julierose
It is coming together, step by step. Glad you're cooler!
DeleteSherry of createology: Sweet little red bird on the fence post. I really like this addition of barbed wire fencing. Great links today. The painted rocks are incredible. I also like todays quote.
ReplyDeleteI simply had to add that cardinal and I thought this one looked like it needed barbed wire fencing.
DeleteThe cardinal is such a sweet perfect little detail. And the barbed wire fence!
ReplyDeleteI thought that fence post absolutely needed that cardinal to be complete.
DeleteOf course I live the Cardinal! It's the Kentucky state bird. I have a pair luving in my back yard.
ReplyDeleteHaven't you ever wondered why the drug store cant sanitize our bottles and use again? Such a waste in todays world
I love cardinals too. We have them around here and rarely see them but can hear them.
DeleteAnd yes to drug stores sanitizing bottles for re-use. Maybe the day might come. Or at the very least make the bottles so they will compost down.
At first glance I thought the bird might be my summer tanager! :~) Actually mine was here today, singing his pretty song. I love love the cardinal. Your barbed wire fence looks a lot like some of ours, rusty and rather saggy. :~)
ReplyDeleteI'm a tad rusty and rather saggy too so that sort of fence spoke to me. I haven't seen tanagers here but I think they do come this far north.
DeleteOh my! Those painted rocks, the detail is so incredible - I wonder if the artist uses a magnifying glass to paint them, so intricate! Mary Anne, the barbed wire with the bird (a cardinal? We don't have them in the UK, sadly) is so good. Your anonymous commenter is right, we should be able to re-use these pots - I have to admit to saving them too. I like the sewing kit, with the mini pin-cushion on the underside of the lid. Some really good ideas there.
ReplyDeleteMadalyn Beck's quote - if only everyone would follow this, wouldn't the world be a happier place ...
Val (UK)
I can't imagine the number of hours it must take to paint those rocks. And yes, that bird is a cardinal.
DeleteAs for reusing pill bottles, I always have one in my sewing room and use it for collecting bent sewing pins and needles.
Such gorgeous painted rocks. Knowing you there will be a bit more detail on the fence fairly soon.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
At this point I'm not sure whether the fence is done or not. Will decide that as I go along after much feet up contemplation.
DeleteTakata's stone art is amazing. Fashion, early mid 1930s, I feel, is the most creative. Imagine the contrast of the 1950s womens' waist versus 2022. Scary, the two extremes.
ReplyDeleteOne wonders, when it comes to fashion, what the next big thing will be and how much of it might be a throwback to something that's gone before.
DeleteI LOVE the Cardinal addition, and the fence.
ReplyDeleteI like the wee cardinal too. That fence post just seemed to need to have him perching there.
DeleteThe cardinal is such a sweet touch.
ReplyDeleteThat fence post just needed a cardinal to feel complete!
