diaper cover is the same as I used in the previous post.
and....another landscape starts using this photo for inspiration...
Once more using a photo with the
kind permission of Dale Stewart
Here's the beginning....
- Have a peek through the gallery of THIS artist.
- THIS is going in my awwww folder for future reference. While you're there be sure to scroll down and see all the other amazing free toy patterns! There's enough there to keep this Grandma happy for a long time!
- There's no pattern for THIS and I don't know who to attribute it to, but it's worth a look. (If you happen to know who made it, let me know and I'll give proper credit)
- THIS looks like a fun tutorial to try.
Today's quote is from Martin Luther King - "I look to a day when people will not be judged by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character"
I just love that little sundress combo --this will be the best dressed gal around;)) what fun sewing;))) Hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteMaking little dresses is certainly fun I'm discovering!
DeleteOh my, the pick up will be spectacular!
ReplyDeleteDon't hold your breath until it's done! There's a ton of room for mess-ups before it gets there.
DeleteI used to love making clothing for little ones, and what you are making is just lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou are moving right along on the next landscape.
God bless.
Thank you Jackie! This is the first little girl I've ever made clothing for so it's definitely a learning curve!
DeleteIsla will be the best dressed baby in BC st this rate. Beautiful outfits.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to contemplate the fact that she'll be wearing a few things that nobody else has. I'm not a seamstress so I'm learning as I go.
DeleteOoh, that fabric and the pattern for the sundress are just adorable. Excited to see another old vehicle landscape. :)
ReplyDeleteI liked this pattern too and I think it will work later in the year too if she wears a onesie beneath it. And I'm excited to do another vehicle too.
DeleteI have a feeling someone is finding out how enJOYable it is to sew for a little girl. SO cute. I love bonnets too which is something my little great grandson doesn't need.
ReplyDeleteYes, I must admit it's fun to sew for a wee girl for a change. As for grandsons - bucket hats are always welcome!
DeleteSherry of createology: Such an adorable outfit for the little princess. Your new rusty truck landscape will be so much fun to create. Some of these links take my breath away. Today’s quote reminds me of a wonderful book I just read. “In Her Own Design” by Piper Huguley. It is a heartwarming story of trials and successes back in the days of Jim Crow Alabama. It really made me sad to think of what we white humans did to black humans. I got the book at the local library.
ReplyDeleteI'm certainly enjoying sewing for a wee little girl.
DeleteAnd yes it's sad what humans can do to one another forgetting that, aside from the colour of our skin, we are all the same inside.
More beautiful stitching going on at your place Mary Anne. Love the little outfit and it is always fun to watch a new landscape grow! Christine xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine. I enjoy seeing a landscape evolve too!
DeleteYou have a soft spot for old vehicles.
ReplyDeleteNot that you have anything to do with any of it!!!
DeleteAnother sweet outfit, love the bonnet!
ReplyDeleteI think she'll get more wear out of the hat than the dress because apparently it's already a tad tight on her. Oh well....I'll just have to make her another one!
