Putz, futz, fuddle....pfft

So I've been putzing and not one bit of what I've done is of the least bit of interest to you.  I know you were just sitting there wanting to know that I finished wrapping all but two gifts.  You really wanted to know that I re-vamped a vest for Resident Chef so it fits him better.  I know you were absolutely holding your breath to know that I blocked a wee sweater for the baby, a process which requires crawling about on the floor.  I'm sure you REALLY wanted to know that I managed to get up off said floor.  You also, I know, wanted to know that I made the label and sewed it on the back of the baby quilt.  More importantly, I'm sure you had the knowing that I put a precious few stitches into the latest landscape high on your wish list.

AND....drumroll please....I know, beyond a shadow of any doubt whatsoever, that you are just sitting on the edge of your seat waiting to hear that I spent over an hour searching for pictures of

....wait for it.....

........outhouses.

Gosh, I'm glad all your waiting is now over and you can go back to your regularly scheduled life.  You're welcome.

Instead of a quote, this came up on facebook and it made me laugh so I thought I'd share (there IS a wee bit of 'language' so be prepared)...

  1. Hahaha! Definitely filed in "out of the mouths of babes!" You just never know what they'll say...
I love that little birdie ornament--so cute--thanks for the linky.
I'm done with the last presents to be wrapped and mailed out. Not all that many as mostly my older grands and children like to get $$ cash to apend in the after-Christmas sales...
I ordered an emroidery sew-along kit from Kathy Schmitz as my present this year. It should make a lovely wall hanging when finished...that will be my new hand project for a while..

    1. Yes, you never know what kids will say. I just have two presents left to wrap and I'm done.
Looking forward to seeing your new wall hanging!

  2. Outhouses huh? Looking forward to seeing the end result of that search - no pun intended. That snowman quilt is dreamy. I love the little mice dolls. I have no problem with mice used as decorations or subjects of cards but I've found that my "friends" are not so much to the liking, even if they are cute. Yup, honey lifesavers!

  4. Sounds as if you've been very productive, the kind that doesn't show very much. About the labels -- how do they happen? You make them, or order them? I know nuffink.

    1. I print them on the computer. Good quality white fabric pressed onto freezer paper and just run it through my printer. Then I press it really well with the iron to set the ink. I suppose, being that this will be washed, it might not have been the best choice for a label but we'll see. It's the way I do the label on the landscapes but they don't get thrown in the wash.

  5. Really? You accomplish more than I could ever do. I cannot even keep up with reading your blog. I love the Mice and Tilda everything.

    1. The only reason I accomplish as much as I do is because I can't simply sit and do nothing. I try, because supposedly it's good for you to spend some time being idle....it lasts maybe ten minutes and I get antsy.

  6. You are always so productive, so I am definitely not surprised that the list of accomplishments is so long. Ha Ha, on your getting up off the floor! I love that the baby is getting another sweater. By the time it gets here it is going to be the best dressed baby ever. When is it due?

    1. I love making baby things so it's certainly no hardship. Couple that with the fact that this one is a wee little girl (first in the family for many years) makes it doubly fun.
