Today, in lieu of something by me, I thought I'd like to share a piece of art created by one of the youngest members of our family - our 5 year old grandson....
Today the quote is from Billy Graham..."The very purpose of Christ's coming into the world was that He might offer up His life as a sacrifice for the sins of men. He came to die. This is the heart of Christmas"
Oh, such an adorable picture--don't you just love those little art pieces? Hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteFor sure! Seeing the art done by children has to be the best!
DeleteBeautiful artwork! Major framing time for that one.
ReplyDeleteYes, that television commercial is a well done teary one. For the sentiment, and not owning that car.
Yes, I would be framing that picture for sure. I suspect likely our daughter-in-love will most likely do that.
DeleteThat word transfer technique is really interesting. You could use that and adapt it. Go for it!
ReplyDeleteI'm toying with using the transfer idea for the sky area of one of my landscapes - will have to see if I can find a quote that reflects the design I want to use.
DeleteI was going to do a post about our 5 1/2 yr. old grandson's artwork later today - you beat me to it. And you're so very right how it makes my heart so full to see him create. You're budding artist has sure created a beauty. Thanks for the links today = there are some I bookmarked. Interesting technique with the cheesecloth especially.
ReplyDeleteNothing better than seeing art by little kids - looking forward to seeing your post too. And glad you liked the links!
DeleteSuch a precious drawing from your Little. Fun links once again. Merry Christmas Dear. Yes this commercial brought tears to me and hubby.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure his parents will be framing this piece of art - at least I hope they will!
DeleteMerry Christmas wishes to you and your DH too!
Fabulous artwork by your G'son -clever like his G'mum. It's such a joy to receive gifts like this.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure seeing this piece of art in person would be even more special, but this is a photo of it. I know he gets his artistic talent from his mommy - she's a fabulous artist.
DeleteGreat job by your grandson. I think he has inherited your artistic talent.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
It's more like he's inherited his artistic talent from his mom - she's a great artist.
DeleteWhat a creative picture! A lot of talent flows in your family. :)
ReplyDeleteI was pretty determined to not cry at the commercial, but it got me. And got me good.
He gets his art talent from his mommy - no doubt about it.
DeleteOh dear, sorry I made you cry (but I guess misery loves company?!)
A budding artist just like his grandma. That cheesecloth technique is very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm anxious to try the cheesecloth thing - just to see what happens. Artistic talent runs in the family - his mom is a graphic artist.
DeleteA great artist!
ReplyDeleteNow you’ve got me - I need to add all these to my list!
And those daddy little socks - eeek! Actually my sis is the sock maker, wonder if she can resist them, tee hee!
Hugs,
Barbara x
I can knit socks but I don't know if I would tackle anything quite that small. Would be a good use for scraps of yarn though!
DeleteBeautiful blog
ReplyDeleteThank you - kind words indeed.
DeleteI LOVE that very special artwork! My heart is always with the little kiddles.
ReplyDeleteLittle kids don't worry about the ideas of what we have that makes art and they just do their own thing.
DeleteWhat a wonderful painting by your grandson, definitely a proud Grandma moment! Loved that TV commercial! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Hugs Christine xx
ReplyDeleteOh yes, seeing art done by grandies is pretty special!
DeleteHmmm, I wonder where he gets his talent from?! It's adorable and I hope it gets framed for a forever treasure.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen that ad before, what a tear jerker.
I imagine they will frame it. And his talent comes from his Mom - she's an amazing artist!
