Mumblings

Question for you.....do you use washaway stabilizer?  If so, what brand works well?  I have some 'Unique' and it will not dissolve no matter what I do.  Obviously not what you want after you've spent several hours creating something and then can't get the stabilizer out!!  Over to you....opinions please....

Yes, today there is nothing but mumblings because I got nuttin'.  You do NOT want to see a picture of my pile of addressed Christmas cards - you do NOT want to see gift wrapped presents - you do NOT want to see all the little things I managed to actually DO over the past couple of days because there is not one single thing that isn't yawn-worthy.

Today's quote is from Wilson Kanadi..."If you really think again, there are actually so many things to be thankful for in every single day of your life"

  1. I've never used stabilizer. Fabrics that need it scare me.
    Love the cat photo. lol

    1. I want to use it to create my own fabric out of teeny little scraps. I had some perfect washaway stabilizer but the label has been long lost and of course I don't know what brand it was.

    1. We have to really remember to be thankful during the present times. Some days it's really hard but we'll get there.

  3. My word, what a fantastic quiltmaker Bruce Seeds is. Plenty of choices for Christmas crafts- I'm thinking of gingerbread felt houses.

    1. Sometimes I think men are more creative than women - perhaps because they haven't had generations of it in their genes and have no preconceived notions. Either way, his work is amazing!

  4. I've actually thought I should ask you about stabilizer experience (under embroidery) - so I got nothun'. I hope some peeps respond to your question. You underestimate how exciting (or perhaps inspiring is the word) your piles of accomplishments can be, friend. ;^) Seriously.

    1. I use several different types of stabilizers for embroidery but most often just a piece of an old bed sheet works for my purposes. Glad you find some inspiration in my playing (mucking?) about!
