# 15

Over the weekend I finished postcard #15 in the series I'm working on...

You will remember, no doubt, that I made a pirate costume for our grandson to wear at his second birthday party on the weekend...

Despite taking a ton of pictures, this is the only one that shows the costume - I either got a picture of the costume and a blur that was our grandson, or I got him and the costume was a blur.  My picture taking abilities obviously are sadly lacking.  Mind you - having a whirling dervish grandson certainly doesn't help matters!  Two year olds are busy!!!

Lastly, my heart and prayers go out to the people in Orlando - a tragedy beyond compare.

We Remember Them…

In the rising of the sun and in its going down,
We remember them;

In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter,
We remember them;

In the opening of buds and in the warmth of summer,
We remember them;

In the rustling of leaves and the beauty of autumn,
We remember them;

In the beginning of the year and when it ends,
We remember them;

When we are weary and in need of strength,
We remember them;

When we are lost and sick at heart,
We remember them;

When we have joys we yearn to share,
We remember them;

So long as we live, they too shall live
For they are now a part of us as
We remember them.

  5. Dinny Pocock's work is amazing. She has such a talent not only for felting, but for finding just the right prop to accompany her creation. What a wonderfully creative mind.

    That little pirate is so cute!! Two was always my favorite age. Really!! It is!!

    My grandson was comparing our number of mass shootings to that in Canada. He thinks that yours are so few because your press does not report them like ours does. What do you think?

  11. What a lovely postcard! Your grandson is adorable in his costume. :) And your poem brought tears to my eyes. My heart hurts when I think of the tragedy in Orlando. We went to a Portland Timbers soccer game on Tuesday night and it was so moving to see that loud full stadium observe a moment of silence in light of the events over the weekend. I fought tears through the National Anthem that followed.

  12. This latest postcard is lovely too. Soft colours and your embroidery never overwhelms, just delights the eyes.
    What a charming little pirate who will be busy chasing treasure no doubt. Maybe dad will assist.
    Far too many disturbed people around the world these days and good ordinary people suffer.
