This is the first exercise in the new online class I'm taking from Karen Ruane called 'An Embroiderers Ledger'. The thought of trying to match colours scared the daylights out of me but it wasn't as hard as I thought it might be.
If the colours don't match, please don't ruin my illusions of grandeur. I LIKE having my head in the sand because it's nice and quiet down here.
We all see colour slightly differently, so don't knock your talents---it's a perfect exercise and you've done great :)
ReplyDeleteYou only have to think about if the colors match in YOUR eyes, right? Right.
ReplyDeleteI think this would be an interesting and challenging exercise. Color can be my nemesis.
I hope you'll tell about your next step.
xx, Carol
And shady, too! lol
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, and I love your reference photo! I am becoming a fan of the pinks, greens and cream look.
Enjoy your class!
lol it looks great to me!
ReplyDeleteI think your color matching is well done! I have noticed that I see a color different depending on if I look at in daylight or if I look at it when it's dark out and I'm using indoor lighting.
ReplyDeleteIt makes a big difference for me, so I try to make sure I pick my colors during the day if I can.
