I found all the cards my parents received when I was born and thought I'd share some of them here. Please do feel free to make copies and use them in your art!! I would LOVE to see what you do with them. Enjoy!! (Edited to add: Yes, I DID crop these and obviously it didn't work....hmmmmmm!! Be sure to scroll down!)

I think that you come by your joy of collecting things naturally. As do I! This era of cards is very familiar to me. I believe my brother in Vancouver has possession of all of them. My mother had six children and I swear, kept every single card. Well, perhaps not all the baby ones, but certainly the ones we made for her. Isn't it wonderful to look back?
ReplyDeleteOh my, those are precious!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing those... I'm going to have to find something to use one or two(all) of those in.
It's interesting to discover those little things that our parents kept for memories.
cute little boots the end one...k.
ReplyDeleteOh my, fancy still having them. What a wonderful collection.
ReplyDeleteThose sweet babies look just like you! I have some similar in my baby book. So neat to see these.

Oh I love your cards......I bet it is fun reading and trying to figure out who signed them. Happy Thanksgiving to you. Susan
ReplyDeleteThose are sweet. I have several that were sent when my hubby was born, along with his baby book. Happy Thanksgiving! Connie
ReplyDeleteNow these are vintage charming...my grandma had a whole box of these...if only I had that box.
ReplyDeleteThanksgiving hugs my friend. xoxo
Are these considered vintage? You can't be that old MaryAnne. Just kidding. It is very sweet that your Mom held onto these. I have a few I kept of my children and must look them up but I think when I turned a lot of stuff over to them - like all their school report cards, certificates, etc. -they might have gone also.
ReplyDeleteI hope to return to blogging tomorrow. Been gone too long.
Hugs
