Revving up the sewing machine

This pile of fabric is about to be turned into sleep pants so you know what I'll be doing for the next few days!

Today's quote is from Michael C. Clark...."Negativity is contagious.  Unhappiness is contagious.  Fear is contagious.  But so is happiness.  So is optimism.  So is love.  Surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you and strive to be a reflection of what you want to receive"

  1. Just caught up on your posts. Those sunflowers are so pretty in your quilt though fiddly to fussy cut. I followed that thread about the hand gesture for help...wow, amazing and so simple. I now have to look into some more of these links you've so kindly included in your posts. Oh liked that crochet too. Take care...pouring rain from the heavens here this morning.

    1. Yes, they're a bit fiddly but I like the ultimate result so it's worth it I think. No rain here but it's supposed to come later tonight.

  2. I like the quotation today. And to add to it: happiness, joy, pleasure, are all part of real life. Not just stress, tiredness, what people call work as if work means something you don't want to do.

    1. Real life requires a balance of all things I think, but it's to be hoped the scales tip in favour of happiness and joy.

  3. That is a lot of sleep pants your sewing machine will be churning out. You have a great variety of fabrics there. Love that quote; so very true, especially in the times we live in♡

  4. Have fun sewing all that lovely fabric into sleep pants. I think this is only the second Christmas that I won't be doing sleep pants for the men in my life.

    God bless.

    1. #2 son is 6'8" so buying pants of any sort is really difficult for him (#1 son is 6'5" so has the same problem). #2 daughter-in-love loves them too so she's getting new ones as well even though she won't be able to wear them until after the baby arrives. The rest is a first - #2 grandson wants some so not sure how that will go fit-wise.

  5. I believe you dear will be having a sewing marathon. Your family will be attired in soft comfy pants for Winter. Yes, if only our world would be full of kindness and love and not rudeness and hatred.

    1. Luckily sleep pants are fairly easy to make because I am definitely not a clothing sewer.

    1. Some of it is flannel and the rest is light-weight fleece. Should keep them warm!

  7. Do you have a pattern you really like for making the pajama trews? I was just thinking how much warmer Morning would be in flannel.

    1. I use McCall's 4244 - don't know if it's still available, but perhaps you can get it on the internet somewhere. I use the same pattern for both the girls and the guys.
