Public service announcement - and baby thing

`````````````````````````
PLEASE READ!
There is a universal hand gesture signal for
people to use when they're in trouble and if
you've watched the news in the past few days you
will have heard that it saved a young girl from
a kidnapping.
This is vital information we ALL need to
be aware of.
Please go HERE for further information.
Please also share this on your blogs
because this needs to be known!
Here is another completed 'evening project' ...
The crochet pattern is one I've had in my files for years and I don't have any idea where I found it.  The original pattern calls for long sleeves but I opted for sleeveless and just trimmed them with some picots.  Yarn is 'Baby Marble' from James C. Brett....another one I've had in my stash for too many years to count.
    1. I felt I had to share the information about the hand signal - hopefully it becomes more widely known than what it is.
      And the dress is cute; it's nice to be able to make something for a little girl for a change.
    3. The pattern I have is quite 'vintage' so who knows, maybe it's the same one.
      I wasn't aware of that hand signal either and felt it was important to share the information as much as I can.
    1. Not only being able to help someone that is in need, but heaven forbid we ever would need to use it ourselves.
  4. This signal needs to be better known, for observers to grasp what they're being told as well as for people needing rescue.
    1. Exactly! I was totally unaware of the signal until yesterday when I heard that news report so that's why I felt I had to share.
  5. What a cute dress. I love the fact that it looks so summery.
    The hand signal has been all over my Facebook page for almost a year now. Yet I had never heard of anyone using it until this.
    God bless.
    1. I'm hopeful the little dress will be about the right size come summer. If not, she can wear a onesie beneath it.
      Glad you're familiar with the hand signal - it's the first time I've heard of it.
    1. I didn't know about the signal either and I think, like you, that it should be more common knowledge. It certainly could help in situations of domestic violence and definitely kidnappings.
