A tad more progress and a finish

There's been some more progress on the landscape as you can see here...

You should be able to click to embiggen if you'd like to.  I fussy cut all those flowers and now I'm in the process of adding embroidery details over top.  There's going to be a LOT of French knots on this one!

And, one of my evening projects ended up with this little finish for our expected 'grandie'...

The sweater is a pattern in a book 'Grammy's Favorite Knits For Baby' by Doreen L. Marquart and the headband is THIS one.  Yarn is 'Baby Soft' from Lion Brand.

Today's quote..."My body sometimes feels sore, but it works.  I don't sleep well most nights, but I do wake up to fight another day.  My wallet is not full but my stomach is.  I don't have all the things I ever wanted but I do have everything I will ever need.  My life is by no means perfect but it's my life and I'm happy"

    1. Thank you! It's getting there. I like the nail polish idea too - never use the stuff on my nails, but this might be something I'd do.

    1. I'm happy with the little sweater too - hopefully our wee one will get some wear out of it.
As for the sunflowers, there's a long way to go before I can say that part of the landscape is finished. It's surprising just how long the embroidery takes.

  6. Embroidery is a sloooow process. I think that's why it's calming. Slow rocking rhythm. Your landscape has turned the corner. Told ya!

    1. Yes, it's slow but I love it. I always think that the current landscape won't get embroidery added but I simply can't help myself. For some reason it doesn't feel complete unless I do.

    1. Coming alive - that's a nice way to put it, thank you. Hopefully our wee grandie will get to wear this little sweater set often. She's being born in the winter so something warm and cozy will be welcome I hope.

    1. There's a lot more hours of embroidery to come on the landscape I think but it's getting there. And I can't have a wee little addition not wrapped in Grandma's love!

    1. I'm so lucky to have Resident Chef to happily putter in the kitchen. Not having to make meals gives me lots of time to stitch!

  11. Wow! What fabulous additions you have made to the church scene. Though you often worry your way through the projects, you have such a knack for getting things right. The baby will be snug and look great in her lovely jacket and headband. The Chef is a Gem.

    1. You're so right in saying that I worry my way through the landscapes. Each step I add is accompanied by a whole lot of waffling with a lot of do I/don't I going on.
