While I've been waiting for the mailman to deliver what I need for the next step of the advent calendars I've started on another little cross stitch project which will be an addition to the Christmas box.  Our friends have honey bees on their property and I thought they might like this (measures about 5x7").  As usual I've cobbled together several different designs to come up with this one.

Today's quote is from Steve Jobs...."Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life"

  1. Happy Birthday, Mary Anne! Your honey bee stitch is adorable. Since my goal is to whittle away at my surplus stuff I'll leave the giveaway to other readers, but those magazines do look lovely. Now, I want to talk about that embroidered food... That is incredible!!! I have to ask... do you think the baked beans on the plate are embroidered or is she mixing real food with thread food? And those little pastry puffs (whatever they're called) - nothing about those doesn't look real. And the popcorn?!? How many ways can I say this is incredible?!? I am utterly blown away by this artist's work. You found another gem!

  3. I wish I could wear the cloche. Doesn't suit me but I love them. But real cloches have a brim. Like a bell. The others are mere impostors!

    1. I am not a hat person so you won't catch me wearing one. I like the design, but on someone (anyone!) else.

  4. Happy Birthday Miss Mary Anne. I hope you do something very special for yourself. I do like the magazines you are gifting...however...I shall let someone else enjoy them. Your sweet Honey Bee stitchery is a wonderful gift for your friends with bees. Your Christmas box must be overflowing by now and it is merely mid-July. I’m not even keeping up with birthdays. Happy Birthday My Friend. Celebrate and enJOY each and every day. XO

    1. Thank you Sherry. Birthdays aren't a 'thing' in our household so it's just another day. Yes, the Christmas box is overflowing and has become two.

  6. Great job of “cobbling” together the cross-stitched piece. I love the bees. Oh I love to see where others create so I would have to go with the winter 2020 issue if it’s not too late.

    1. Nope, not too late - it's open until Friday so your name is in the draw. Good luck! As for the cobbling, that's what I often do because I can never seem to find quite the exact design that I have in my head.
