One done

Yesterday I finished the first advent calendar.  It's hard to see all the embellishments I added from these photos...

Here's a closeup of part of it....

  2. Lovely additions--I can see that pretty gold star on the top left tree even in the smaller screen shot...
This quilt will be a big hit I am sure...

    1. I'm not so sure the calendar will be as much of a hit as what will end up being tucked into the pockets.

    1. Took me longer to make it than I would have thought. Of course it wouldn't have taken so long had I not wanted to add all the beads and embellishments!

  5. Your Grandson will absolutely love this Mary Anne and, it is always so lovely to have an Advent Calendar that can be refilled rather than one that has a lot to throw away each year! Christine xx

  7. The Advent calendar is so fun, Mary Anne. The embellishments really do make it sweet and special. I think your grandsons will notice them. :) And that link to the mixed art creations - some of those are really cool - one or two look like something I could, maybe, manage to do! Good inspiration.

  9. I really don't see how you get the calendar done so quickly with all the embellishment. Great job.

    1. I guess I get things done fairly quickly because I spend altogether too many hours in my sewing space.
